The TriBase Reign trainer from Under Armour offers optimal traction during weightlifting, repetitions or training sessions. Durable tear-resistant material and durable mesh provide lightweight support and high abrasion resistance for intense workouts. Under Armour TriBase in the outsole maximises traction where your foot needs it most, allowing high upward flexibility for a natural movement and more adhesion. The full-length micro G foam midsole provides the ultimate responsive cushioning. Review: Well, I wasn't expecting that! - After spending hours and hours reviewing varying functional fitness shoes I settled with these. At £45 (+ delivery) they were miles cheaper than any others. A few reviews by 'experts' commented on the narrow/too tight fit. Piffle. They're snug round the heel and tight if laced up worng across the mid-foot, but the toe box is so wide! Plenty of room for toe splay in heavier lifts. Now, I'm not one of these CrossFit super-humans. I'm a stronger than average chunky guy. So far I've deadlifted, walked very quickly, lifted too much over my head and squatted in these clogs and I'm impressed. I wouldn't walk too fast/too quickly in them, the near solid heel doesn't lend itself to such an act and ones ankles will suffer as a result. As for lifting, the near flat sole, wide toe-box and mega stable heel give mucha confianza! Impressed, very impressed indeed! Review: Good shoes - I have no previous experience of using training shoes so can't compare these to anything. However, I have no complains about them. they look great and they are quite comfortable and stable on the ground.

Stable shoe for lifting, and comfortable
I bought these pair of trainers specifically for lifting weights in the gym. I didn't want a full blown weight lifting shoe, but needed a trainer with a stable base for deadlifts and squats. As they have a 2mm offset (meaning they are pretty flat from back to the front) they feel really stable, and I don't feel like my ankles will roll like they would with a running shoe. They have a pretty thin heel but I didn't experience any rubbing, and are overall very comfortable. I wear a 10.5 - 11 with most trainers and the 10.5 is spot on.

Perfect for the job
Look better in than they do in pictures. Very supportive on my feet and help give me the balance and stability I was lacking in ‘normal’ training shoes. Well worth the money.

Good shoes but they came dirty
Shoes fit perfectly as a size 11 but they came dirty as if somebody else had them before me. I would have returned them but the fit was so amazing I decided to keep them. Shame about the delivery otherwise 5 stars

Really stable when lifting weights.
Really sturdy trainer. Feel very planted and stable when lifting weights. They give good all round support. Little bit uncomfortable at the cuff of the heel at first (with trainer socks), but after about 10 wears they were fine. Would recommend them for gym wear.

As good, if not better than Metcon
Yes - I would say these shes are as good as Nike's Metcon although I would point out one thing - for the first few wears they are DESPERATELY uncomfortable! Very rigid. I would recommend walking to and from the gym in a pair of well broken in trainers, and slipping these on once you are there or you will have very sore heels!
