Neck Book Light LED Reading Lamp USB-C Rechargeable, Hands Free, 4 LED Bulbs, 4 Adjustable Brightness, for Reading in Bed or Reading in Car (Green)

Over the years, I’ve had several little book lights for reading in bed. One clipped to the book with a big plastic paper clip-like clip that you put over the pages. Another had a pressure clip like a binder clip. Both had to be plugged in to an outlet with an adapter and cord to the unit. Neither was satisfactory; I used them for a few nights, then left them in a drawer. Not only did they trail power cords, but to turn the page, you had to unclip it, turn the page, then reclip it. And it made the book awkward, heavy, and off-balance.I was excited when I saw this item, however, for several reasons. One, it doesn’t need a power cord. Two, it doesn’t clip to the book. Three, it’s light and hangs around your neck, making it useful for a lot more than just reading books, although it’s wonderful for reading.Unpacking the unit from its little box, you find two items: the unit itself and a short USB charging cable. See the picture. The unit is capable of twisting itself down into quite a small little space. That illustrates how flexible this lightweight little item is. You hang it around your neck and point the lights wherever you need the light. Then you don’t need to fuss with it any more. It is very handy.It is powered by a healthy USB-rechargeable battery. Since its primary use—at my house anyway—is to read in bed before going to sleep, it’s super-easy to just plug it in when I’m ready to sleep, and it’s ready to go the next time I need it. They say it’ll run for 8 hours on a charge and will recharge in 2 hours. I haven’t tested that yet.Is it comfortable to wear? Yes. I use it to read before sleeping two or three nights a week. It’s just comfy and easy. It occurs to me, however, that its comfort for reading in bed will depend on how you use your pillows. It’s possible that the thicker housing of the battery at the back of the neck could be uncomfortable if the lower back of your neck lies flush against the pillow. Mine doesn’t, so it’s like the thing wasn’t even there except for the light it puts out.It’s not just a simple light, either. Each of the two heads contains two bulbs. There’s a tight-focused spot beam and a wide-focus flood light bulb in each head. Each head has a little button switch. One push turns on one bulb. Two pushes turns on the other bulb. The third push turns on both bulbs at once. The fourth push turns both bulbs off. You can see the little push button switch in one of the pictures. There is a switch in each of the two heads, so you need to turn each one on and off separately, which can seem a bit odd at first. But it gives you total control of where your light goes.It can be used for all sorts of applications where you need good light to do something close in. I don’t knit, crochet, or fix cars, but I do take pictures of books that I’m going to sell here on Amazon and elsewhere. I just sit at my desk and shoot simple pictures, which has always left something to be desired because the lighting was not good. Now I wear my little blue neck light and direct the light onto the item being photographed. It’s a great improvement.If I needed to wander around the house at night, I’d put it on and would be able to go anywhere comfortably. I haven’t needed that yet. I suspect that as time goes by, I will find more and more uses for this handy little gadget.

This product is amazing. I got it for my daughter as a reading light because she reads every night before bed. It has 2 levels of brightness and the charge holds for a very long time. It also charges relatively quickly. Can't say enough about it. It's comfortable to wear and is useful in lots of other applications. Lost something in a dark corner or under somewhere, this light works great for that because you can essentially turn it in to a super long flashlight. Definitely buy if you are looking for a reading light or any kind of light.

Everyone in our large camping group were jealous of my lights. We have always all worn headlamps, but this trip I had these. I could speak to people without having to blind them because of my head lamp. These are very very flexible, you can have one light on at a time, there are 3 different strengths of light. The charging is quick and the light lasts for a great length of time, even if using for several hours a night I can get around three evenings worth before needing to charge. Great lights, one friend at camp absolutely loved them I gave them to her. I now need to order myself another pair! Great helpful and dependable product!!

Customer Service was quick to get back to me and let me know that they had fixed the problem and was sending a replacement light. The pink ones that were still in the system had the problem, they upgraded the lights with the green colored ones now on the market. After my wife uses it for a while, I will leave an update if it should break, but for now, they sent an upgraded one and it's working fine....Light worked well, however, on the third time my wife went to recharge it, the USB port broke off inside the unit. Being an Engineer (and just past the 1 month return date) I opened it up to see if I could fix it. Long story short, the USB piece was soldered to the PC board by only two very small solder points. I uploaded pictures showing it. On the first pic, on the left where it says USB, you can see one of the two solder points. The other solder point is just above the screw on the upper right.The other two pics show the female adapter of the USB port. You can see the two, very small solder points from where it detached. Knowing that the user needs to apply a mild level of force to insert the male side of the power cord, you can see why it will eventually break. It is only a matter of time before I think a majority of these will fail the same way.Too bad, because, except for this design flaw, she liked the light.

Our daughters use these as reading lights at night. They share a room and some nights they want to read while the other goes to bed. They are 3 and 5 and the lights are easy to use. They have three brightness settings and you can turn on both sides or just one. The bendable part can be wrapped around a bed post or night stand or placed on your neck. We bought one for our older daughter and then eventually another because her sister needed one too!

These work great easy to use easy to wear. Is it a point in the right direction and the material they are made out of feel good on my hands when I touch them I just love them.

Purchased the green option for crafting needs. It has exceeded my expectations! Plenty bright and SO versatile! Perfect for more than you might even anticipate—we have used it multiple times outside for grilling, misc. home repairs as well as working in the chicken coop.The only cons that might be worth noting is that it does snag my hair, so beware of that. Also, it is pretty loose—it bends fine, but not a ton of hold—it isn’t quite as stiff as I’d hoped.Other than that, it is an awesome quality item for the price. The fact that it is rechargeable is amazing! Perfect for reading or crafting, and SO MUCH MORE!

I got this for my kid so he could read in bed at night. The light is like a headlamp! Even with only one side on, it is so bright. I like the design but wish the color temperature could be adjusted like other book lights.

Love the fact that this feels soft and light around my neck, it charges up quickly with an included cord, you can aim the lights easily and there are three levels of lighting that are independent to each side, so you can customize what you need. I loved this so much I went back and bought one for everyone in my family and they all rave about them and it's been MONTHS. It's funny the things that end up helping so much are the neat little gadgets you wonder if you actually need. YOU NEED THIS. BUY IT.
