Cogent and Shocking
INTRODUCTION. This evaluation is intended to help determine the value of “The Mueller Report,” and the effort to read it to shape individual opinion. It addresses the organization and form of the Report, but excludes any discussion of the Report’s content. Most readers already have opinions and I will not interject mine.On May 17, 2017, The Deputy Attorney General appointed the Special Counsel “to investigate Russian interference with the 2016 presidential election and related matters.” This book is the Special Counsel’s final report. “The Mueller Report” is THE ONLY SOURCE DOCUMENT for the completed investigation; any other competing communication is second-hand.VOLUME I. The Report is organized in two volumes plus a collection of appendices. Volume I proceeds in story-like fashion to reveal in uncanny detail Russian acts of interference in the 2016 presidential campaign, associated interactions, and related communications with westerners. Types of reported Russian acts included computer hacking and dumping, an “active measures” social media campaign, and election interference.VOLUME II. This volume deals with the actions of President Trump and his administration to prevent justice from being duly administered in the investigation of Volume I activities (“Obstruction of Justice”). Volume II proceeds in a more explicitly organized, legally-oriented fashion. It provides evidence for (11) areas of obstruction, and analyzes each area for these legal elements: a) identification of the obstructive act, b) connections to a relevant official proceeding and c) intent.APPENDICES. Appendices at the end of the report cover both volumes. These are very helpful, and might be more useful if examined first. Included are:A) The Acting Attorney General’s order authorizing the investigation.B) Names and descriptions of the report’s individuals and entities, and an index of acronyms.C) The president’s written responses.D) Completed prosecutions and matters transferred or referred to other law enforcement authorities.SUMMARY. I read the report, skipping several explanations of the law and legal processes. The size of the report (448 pages) should not be intimidating because, with redactions and extensive footnoting, the core material is substantially reduced and reading proceeds briskly. My book contained two sets of page numbers: the top of each page depicted the printer’s continuous document numbering, while the bottom depicted separate page numbering for each volume, as provided in the original report. I found uses for both sets.I found this material well-organized with ample factual content. The presented analysis allowed the reader to understand the conclusions reached and their rationale. Where the evidence did not support a conclusion, this condition also was explained. The report enlightened me by clarifying and dispelling mass media’s “noise.” I can now form an opinion using the most factual information available.CAVEAT: IF YOU BUY. The U.S. Department of Justice made this report available. It is in the public domain and cannot be copyrighted. But anyone can print it. So, ensure that the book version you’re getting has not been modified or expanded from the original report, and contains both Volume I and Volume II.

This is the full (redacted) report. No introduction, no prologue, no spin. Everyone should read it.
Thank you, Melville House, for publishing this inexpensive, accessible, and very readable e-book.Almost no one has read the full redacted report. (I think almost no one talking about the report has read it.) It's long. The language could be simpler. Still, this summarizes the results of a lengthy, thorough investigation.Volume I lists all the attempts by the Russian government to influence the 2016 election. There's no way to know how effective those attempts were.Volume I also lists all the attempts by the Russian government and the Trump campaign to "coordinate" (a.k.a. "conspire," a.k.a. "collude") with each other. Mueller's team judged these attempts to be unsuccessful. They also were unable to prove campaign members' corrupt intent. They did, however, find several people who lied while telling Congress or the FBI what was going on.Volume II starts by explaining why the team didn't feel they could indict a sitting President. Then it describes Pres. Trump's possible attempts to obstruct the Mueller team's investigation. For each instance, it describes what the President did, and what the law says is legal or illegal. In each case, it compares one to the other. You shouldn't accept my conclusion, or anyone else's, of what all that means. Read the report. Here's how the Mueller team finishes Volume II: "... if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."Skeptical? Read the report. Think Russia and the Trump campaign colluded? Read the report. Think it's a witch hunt? Read the report. Think the House of Representatives should impeach Pres. Trump? Read the report (and then, either way, contact your representative).

Excellent size and readability; wonderful unbiased presentation
I didn't intend to get an 8 1/2" by 11" copy but am tremendously glad that I did. It's not technically large print, but it is normal print, and even the footnotes are very readable. I constantly underlined and wrote notes in the margin as I worked through the report, and I had ample space for that. I also printed some related information, such as the Statement by Former Federal Prosecutors, and had room to tape that inside the back cover so that it stays with the book. Of the options available for this report that I have seen, this is my favorite by far.

Readable type
This version of the Mueller Report comes in what I think of as a standard paperback format -- by my measurements, 7.5" high x 4 3/16" wide x 1 13/16" thick. The print seems eminently readable to me. Footnotes are at the bottom of each page. Dimensions of the Scribner/Washington Post and Skyhorse editions, also readable, are larger, more the size I expect in hardcovers though they' are paperbacks. I can recommend all three from the standpoint of easy reading.

Tough, but important, read
This report has taken me a long time to read. I tried listening to it, but it was very difficult to follow that way. So I read it. I recommend reading the executive summaries and conclusion, then reading the report in its entirety. It uses a good deal of legal language, so is also difficult because I am not a lawyer, although my career required me to read many legal briefs and legislation. I felt it important to know firsthand what the report said, and not what the talking heads are saying. It is clear to me from this reading that Russia was using every avenue to engage with the Trump campaign. I think it also provides Congress with ample material to accuse Trump of obstruction of justice. I know where I stand on this report.

I prefer not to review this item. I find it is like writing a advertisement.

The FULL report, yes parts 1 & 2
Everything about trying to find the right book without a biased forward was very confusing & took a LOT of research & review reading on Amazon com. One review on com told of this book is being Vol 1 only! However, I can assure everyone that this book is both Vol 1 AND Vol 2 so it is the full report. Though I didn't find this out until I got the book delivered today! This was not at all clear on the description details. It also has no forward whatsoever.

PRINT IS TOO SMALL
Unfortunately the format of the text is very very small and there's no option to enlarge the text. I need super strong glasses to be able to read it. I've ordered some but it's very disappointing.Buy the book unless you have exception eyesight
