SHDIATOOL Diamond Grinding Cup Wheel 115mm/4.5 In, Concrete Grinding Disc

Excellent tool, I’ve used this to grind concrete thresholds, bricks, mortar; everything stone! And it works brilliant, pay attention to the speed rating for your grinder as speed is the key to good cutting/grinding and wear on the disc.

The grinding surface is of this cup wheel is flat so its more suitable for polishing and smoothing surfaces than flattening high spots in awkward spaces. I wanted to be able to hold the grinder at an angle to remove high spots. I need it to be used indoors so I bought the "Aidelife" shroud to fit a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust. This cup wheel is too low profile at 22mm to fit level with the shroud brush. Trying to achieve compatiblity between three different items from three different manufacturers when they don't provide all the required dimentions is tricky. I did a review of 17 of the cup wheels advertised on Amazon. Most didn't give the depth dimension. I found two at 22mm, one at 18 mm, one at 23mm and one at 18 mm. So this cup wheel at 22mm high looks standad. So the non compatibility was due to my Hilka Procraft 4 1/2 inch (115mm) angle grinder or the "Aidelife" shroud. So I modified the shroud. With the modified shroud and this cup wheel in place I started to flatten down some uneven concrete. The cup wheel did the job surprisingly quickly. I am very happy with it and can highly recommend it. But beware of the dangers of inhaling Silicon dust and getting it in your eyes. A shroud connected to a vacuum cleaner is essential in my view.

Great tool for grinding cement/concrete, very effective. However, it is quite a chunky item so it can effect the balance of the tool so you might want to use a handle on the side of the grinder

Works really well

Used to grind down high points of the concrete floor in my kitchen. Took of over 20mm in places. Used with an Aidelife Surface Grinding Dust Shroud, and a vacuum cleaner, I found it very effective. THere is still plenty of life left in the blade.

Great purchase

Needing to reduce height of limestone slabs, I bought three different grinding discs of differing prices. This was the most expensive and performed better than the two, cheaper discs though none lasted for a great length of time. I was trying to avoid having to dig out two, rectangular slabs in a large patio and re-bed them.

This is perfect for my needs and works well
