WordPress on Demand

This is a really great, easy to use and understand intro to WordPress for a beginner such as myself. As far as the functionality of WordPress and how to get rolling, EVERYTHING is covered here, fully explained, as well as illustrated. With WP having so many different moving parts (and including all the plug-ins I literally mean millions) a book like this is much needed to help you figure out how to put it all together that you might create a cohesive website, no matter how many moving parts there are in the background. It does not get much simpler than this—and it make's learning the fundamentals of the tool as easy as learning your A, B, C's.

As of 01/2016 there are quite a few items that have been updated since this books release. Still has some good info though.

Haven't read but first three chapters thus far. Informative and I love the step by step aproach. Great for beginners.

Easy to follow and I was able to get up and running within 2 days.

Out of date. Not very helpful

I just got this book a couple days ago from a B&N bookstore, and I am very happy with my choice among the myriad of books on the topic (tip: get it from amazon, it'll cost you less, or even better, from the publisher's website which will get you the bundle of the physical book+ebook for the same price).The book is very easy to understand, the layout is presented in a way that allows for the reader to not miss anything and the fact that all the content is in color makes for an excellent presentation.For very experienced users that are in search of a more technical/code-development-within-WordPress reference, there are other books that might be a better fit, but as someone that hasn't had that much of a previous exposure to WordPress, this book makes an excellent choice.

I am absolutely delighted with this book, as a newbie to Wordpress I wanted an easy access guide that showed me clearly how to set up my blog, edit posts and upload photos.Everything is described in an easy to follow format, with clear illustrations.My blog is now up & running and looks really professional.It works for both WordPress.com & Wordpress.org.I would completely recommend this book.
