handles are attached and stay that way. Accepts normal wear and tear nicely. My two year old set remains in total playable condition despite considerable use.

How much lawn space is needed, and must it all be completely flat?

So if you are playing a tournament...yes but just for family fun, you can make the game any size you want and some incline would be fine. It is all about the fun for us. If you want to google the rules and really adhere to them, the set would be fine

Could someone please clarify the height of mallets? Looking for the version adults can use!l

The mallets are 38” total from bottom of mallet to top of handle. Our antique child’s version the mallets are 25”. The 38” mallets are perfect for adults…even my husband and sons who are 6 to 6’2 in height. Hope that helps.
