Yes, it is good. It turned out that I used the plan when I had my IPhone 4. Note: I always get extended plans for electronic devices. They always seem to need some form of support.

I don't think it is valid for the iPhone 4S. I had to do some research, but it appears that starting with the 4S, Apple changed the AppleCare to AppleCare+ and started charging more money. The primary difference seems to be that it now includes coverage for accidental damage with a $49 fee and a max of two incidents. AppleCare+ must either be purchased with the new phone or purchased from an Apple Store within 30 days of buying the phone. The Apple folks will need to examine your phone if you buy separately from the phone. In reality, AppleCare used to cost $99. Now AppleCare+ costs $99. The main difference appears to be the time limit on purchasing it and the new accidental damage coverage. I do not see that you can still use the old AppleCare on an iPhone 4S, so I probably wouldn't try it.

I don't have a 5s iPhone and I don't have apple care. There is an error somewhere. Sorry couldn't be of any help
