Not too much to say about a door stopper. It works well in my application. I'm using it to hold open a hollow interior door in a carpeted bedroom, and it has no problem keeping the door open. I'm not using it on a non-carpeted surface, so I can't really comment on it's holding power there. It seems like it would work, though, as the stopper is made of a rubbery material, which isn't likely to slip. Speaking of the material, it seems to be thick enough to get the job done, and is of a good quality. The stopper is a little smaller than those I've had in the past, but that's just because I got the 4-inch model. It works well in my case, and the small size helps make the door stopper less obtrusive. If you have a heavy door, or have a large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, then I'd recommend getting the 5-inch model.

I needed something to keep my kitchen door from blowing shut from the wind when I leave it ajar for my cats to get in the house, and your doorstop works perfectly. There don't seem to be any stores that carry doorstops any more, so it is great to be able to get one by mail so easily.

Go for it! work great. side note, don't ever order anything unless it is Prime. They control the inventory therefore logistically there is no one as good. I have ordered 100's of products through Prime and they have hit it out of the park. Non-prime....30% success rate with apologies that keep coming

Good: Color, size, low price Bad: somehow it didnt work for my door. My door kept sliding. It just didnt resist it from closing.

These doorstops were really disappointing, a friend of mine had a doorstop for many years, and I always was impressed by how great it was at jamming her door from being pushed open from outside. I was reading a home security book which suggested, that in addition to having a chain lock, one should consider using a doorstop as well. Because it would add a extra security, by making a jamming difficulty of the door being pushed in easily. So I bought four of these, two for a friend of mine, and two for myself based in the review that it got. My friend and I have totally different designed doors,because we live in different parts of the neighborhood, and houses are designed differently depending on where you live. Yet it did not work on my door, nor did work on her doors, we experience the same problem,regardless of how we jammed the door with these doorstops,they are easily pushed in from outside with very little effort, they just slide right back with out any resistance. I would've returned them to Amazon but, time is precious, and I already messed around with them long enough to of done some scratches on them, I even tried to use a knife to cut one of them down a little shorter, akin to others that I seen worked very good to my recollection. Anyway to make a long story short I did not return these doorstops Amazon,I absorbed the loss, but one thing for sure, I would not recommend them to anyone than this site.

As you read this review, consider that these doorstops evoked a sufficient emotional response that I felt the need to sit down and express my thoughts to the world. Let that sink in a moment. Something about these irrelevant, disposable and fundamentally unimportant doorstops was so potent that I took time away from my wife and small children, set aside my demanding white collar job, and decided to write about doorstops. Have you ever considered something so on the face of it absurd? You have no reason to believe me, but I'm a fairly sane and easy going person not generally inclined to be morose about doorstops. These though - these doorstops require a world of banality and cruel stupidity to allow their existence. National Hardware presumably decided to sell doorstops, hired some other company to produce them, and then went to the bother of packaging them. Someone has a job where they are paid money to make decision about the color of doorstops. Another person must think about how to market them in an appealing way. Think about that. Massive ships and complex logistics systems were invoked to transport, around the entire planet, doorstops. As if that wasn't enough, Amazon then provided one of the most complex technology and warehousing systems on the planet to inventory, manage and sell these doorstops. Within 48 hours of me being irritated my office door wouldn't stay open, Amazon had deployed a courier service to bring them from who knows where to my home. These doorstops have touched literally hundreds of people, families, and careers and employed some of the most complicated marvels of our age. What drives me to write this review, is that for all that effort the stupid things don't work. Stopping a door is such a painfully simple exercise it is often done on accident. Things that have no business being used to stop doors are capable of the task. Look around you, doorstop shopper, and something within reach is capable of stopping a door. It is a trivial task. How then, is it possible for a device who's sole purpose is to stop doors to be fundamentally incapable of the task? It's this perverse joke - a tremendous, global effort contrived to deliver a product for a task so fundamentally trivial as to be solved by almost any object, yet somehow is still incapable of performing said task - that has led me to write so many words about doorstops. Crueler still, my effort and observation simply perpetuates the fundamental lunacy of the thing. Kafka wept. On to the review: They're cheaply made of flexible plastic and squish under the door instead of stopping it. You should buy different doorstops.

I just received my shipment of these and I'm very pleased. They're less conspicuous than other models, so far as door stops go, and they work great on my interior doors (bedrooms, etc). However, I did test this with my front door and it is too short to hold that open. If you are looking for a door stop that will work to keep an exterior door opened and that door has a threshold, chances are that it will not suffice.

I'm currently living in a high rise on the 27th floor in Seoul. I bought these because electricity is very expensive in Korea and in order to harness the strong winds at the height I live at, I needed doorstops that could secure heavy doors on hardwood floors. These worked perfect and allowed for air to flow freely through the apartment without slammming doors.
