Hi there, here is GIVERARE, this might be because one of the dials were not aimed at the white arrowhead completely when you are setting the new code, try to turn a little left or right of the code you have set, for example, your code is 1-1-1, make the arrowhead aim at middle of 0 and 1, the other two at 1, then try middle of 1 to 2, and then try the second code....this might work. If not, please send us the ORDER NUMBER though Amazon: go to your Amazon account-Click on your order-Click on contact seller, we send you a free new one.

Will this lock fit in a standard zipper for a lunch pale ?

how long is the cable?

It’s not very long. About half of a number 2 pencil in length.

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

I use my locks for the gym and to lock up my bike. I have not left the lock outside, in the elements for long periods of time. I’m not sure it won’t rust outside with continual rain exposure. The gears are metal.
