Wise 8WD10 360-Degree Flat Boat Seat Swivel, Black

Very rugged and excellent design. I place these under my new Lund Pro seats as the nonmetal collar designing on the seat Post are hard to turn. In fact, I’ve added them to some of my Springfield power poles and locked the pole and rely on the swivel bearing to rotate.

This product works exactly the way it should if you use it for the intended purpose. After it is installed boat seats will stay in the position you leave them and not swing around every time the boat rocks. It they did that it would be dangerous. You can tell that works by sitting the hinge on the floor and standing on it with one foot and attempting to rotate the hinge with another foot. It will swivel easily. But if you just grab it and try and rotate it, it will be very stiff. It is a great design for boat seats, but if you are making a lazy susan for your dining room it would be a horrible use. It requires the weight of a person to rotate. Installing is easy, you just need to rotate the two halves of the hinge until the bolts you want to install are visible. I wish the vendor would have explained this in the writeup, because I too expected a free hinge. However, I found out that this was the perfect way to articulate a 3 wheel cart that I built. Great product!!

Works well

using this seat swivle on my jon boat. it fit the cabelas seats perfect. i made a bracket to bolt it to on the bench and bolted it all together. its a better quality that what you would get from the cabelas seat swivel at a better price

I used high back chairs with these and I'm over 250 lb and they still swivel smoothly

Purchased this swivel to use with a boat seat for fishing. It works as advertised full swivel makes moving from side to side when fishing easy and was simple to install holes lined up with standard seat bottom. Would recommend this item.

This seat swivel is exactly as advertised and performs well. However, there are two things to keep in mind. The first is that the swivel does not function easily when it's not under a load. By that I mean that it's necessary to use a screw driver so that the flanges are positioned so that screws/bolts can be installed. The second problem is that it's very difficult to mount to anything else other than a seat bracket designed to clamp the seat to a jon boat bench seat. Since Amazon sells two different times of brackets for jon boat bench seats that have the swivel installed, I recommend buying one of those instead of buying the bracket and swivel separately.

Good quality,.too small

It's a very simple product, and works as intended.... if you know how they are supposed to work. They are VERY stiff out of the box, not mounted to a seat or bench. They are supposed to be. Once you apply leverage from the weight of a body or seat, they move very freely, but if you are trying to spin them by hand, unmounted, they require a ton of effort. That is part of the design, so the seat doesn't just spin wildly during transport or out on the water. You will need to rotate them into a tessellated position for install, it takes some oomph and effort, but they aren't broken, you just don't understand how leverage is supposed to work.

Solid and smooth. I had a little difficulty attaching it to my boat seat because there isn't a lot of space between the plates to put bolts in place. Once I sized things up I was able to get it lined up and installed. The second plate went much easier after I got the first one in place . Overall a good product and it works well.
