I am particular about my crochet hooks. I don't like plastic hooks and I prefer an ergonomic, thicker handle. I also like to have plenty of slide room on the shaft, so short hooks are not acceptable. Good lighting is also important, especially when using dark yarn. This crochet set hits all the marks spot on! They are nicely packaged in an organized case that includes a pouch of essential accessories that fits neatly within the case. I love that it includes the majority of hook sizes I need for most of my projects. The base charges quickly and the light lasts for hours. The hooks easily attach to the base with an easy turn of the included metal wrench. Finally, I must also mention their customer service. The 5.0 mm hook was missing from my set. I received the correct number of hooks, but they accidentally included two 5.5 mm hooks instead. I messaged their customer service and they responded immediately (on a holiday weekend) to let me know they would send the missing hook right away. I had it in less than a week. This is the set to get if I you love to crochet!

I love this set. Having the light in the handle that illuminates the yarn without blinding you with the lit hook is the best design that I've found, so far. I also love how easily the yarn glides over the hooks. The hooks are in the correct position which makes crocheting so much easier. I love the metal hooks, needles, scissors, stitch markers, and bag to put them in, as well as the tiny metal wrinch. The down side, after changing out some of the hooks, a piece of the handle (where the light comes from and the hooks fit into, broke. I can still use it, but the yarn gets hung up on the gap. I was very happy with this product until that happened.

These lighted crochet hooks are wonderful!! The yarn slides easily off the metal hooks, the ergonomic handle is really helpful for arthritic hands, and I like the fact that there are two light settings; bright and dim. The handle which holds the light recharges in approximately 15 minutes. The hooks are easy to change out. This set comes with several extras - dull tipped needles for sewing pieces together, a tape measure, scissors, 3 extra sleeves for the handle, etc. A complete list of what you get can be found in the product details. The carrying case, which holds everything, is pretty and very sturdy. I hesitated buying this item because I found similar sets at cheaper prices, but after receiving this, seeing all that came with the set of hooks, using the hooks and seeing the quality of the items, I’m completely satisfied with this purchase.

I bought these for two reasons...the light up feature, and the handle shape. I liked the idea of the light being on the base, as opposed to the others which are on the hook. I also work better with the aluminum or steel hooks. And the handle shape is similar to another type of hook that I use to help with aching hands after working on my crochet for a while. So these seemed perfect for me. The handle is great. Very easy to grip (knife grip). The cover that is on the hook works well with my hands...it doesn’t chafe at all. And the set comes with multiple covers, although I haven’t tried to change it out yet. The cover that is on it currently is working well for me. The hooks themselves are not quite as smooth as other metal hooks. There is a slight, but noticeable, friction when using these hooks. Outside of that, there are just about every hook size I will ever need, and they are easy to change out. You just have to make sure you tighten the hook on with the little wrench. After it is tightened, I had no problems with the hook coming off the handle. As far as the light, on the duller setting I was able to crochet in the middle of the night and not wake up my husband while we were on vacation. It was a little difficult to see but I was able to manage for several hours until I was able to fall asleep. The brighter setting is too bright, as it shines into my eyes and makes it so I can’t see what I am working on. The accessories and case are great. I just took that case with me on vacation, and it had the hooks, markers, needles and scissors I needed for the trip so I didn’t have to carry all my other gear. Very convenient. Overall I am happy with this set. If the hooks were smoother, I would have given it the fifth star.

Just received my Yarn Mania Hook set....love it!! I opened it up....put the 3.6mm hook into the lighted handle & crocheted my first doll bootie....OMG....love, love it!! The handle is so comfortable & it was easy to install the hook tip....I used the wrench to tighten it & it worked perfectly. I bought it because I wanted to learn to crochet so when I sit & watch TV I could see my crochet stitches. I turned on the TV to watch " How to crochet doll booties" on You Tube & was able to do my first 2" doll bootie...now to do the other one. The light has 2 setting...low & high....I used the high & I could even see & count the stitches to know where I lost count. It was already charged & I was able to do the first bootie but will plug it in to charge it while I take a break to write this review. It's has other crochet tips that I'll be using also....love the case (it's a pretty & well made) & all the accessories. I am sooo excited to have this set to learn & be able to crochet all my future crochet projects.❤️👍😁

I really wanted to love this set. It is very well made, the hooks are easily interchangeable, and it charges fast. The light has two settings, one that is bright and one more dim. I liked the fact that the light came from the handle and wasn't being projected through the hook itself, like other light-up crochet hooks. My only fault with this is that I hold my crochet hook with a pencil grip, and couldn't find any comfortable way of holding this hook. The curved shape of the handle made it very difficult. I did find it comfortable when holding like a knife, but I can't crochet that way... Alas, I had to return it.

I've been using these hooks for about 4 years now and absolutely love them. Switching out the different size hooks is super easy. The light is really great for using in low light settings and has been very useful for travel or watching shows with the hubby in evenings when he prefers less light in the room. After over a year of frequent use, the handle started cracking a bit making the hook loose. I decided to contact Yarn Mania via Facebook to see if I could just replace the handle rather than ordering an entire new kit. They got back to me quickly and are sending a new handle for significantly less than purchasing a new one even though the cracking seems like reasonable wear and tear from usage and not from any defect. I'm super happy with the product and impressed by their care for their customers. I would highly recommend this product for anyone. It's the only hook I use even when not using it for the light.

I am blown away by the ultimate pink crochet hook set! It has everything I need for almost all of my crochet projects. The hook heads are easy to put on and take off. The handle is super comfortable. I love that there are two light settings, which is going to be a life saver when using dark colored yarn. I'm so pleased with the case and all the accessories that were included. The thing that absolutely blew my mind is how smooth the hooks are! They slide through the yarn like a hot knife through butter! I have hooks from about 4 or 5 different brands, some metal, some acrylic, some wood. NOTHING I have used before glides through the yarn with the same ease as the hooks in this set! I can't express how happy I am with this product! If you are a seasoned crocheter, or you're just starting out, do yourself a favor and buy this set! You'll be so glad you did!!!

Absolutely superb and worth every penny. My arthritic hands no longer hurt whilst crotcheting and I can change the way I hold it depending on how sore they are. The covering of the handle is easy to hold and doesn't slip around and the heads of the hooks are pointy enough to find the spaces in the crochet without splitting the yarn. The 2 light options are perfect and positioned exactly right to shine just on your work yet not dazzle you. The two brightness options mean I can crochet in complete darkness if I don't sleep well and don't disturb my husband. The added extras have everything you could need. Customer service is superb. This is my 3rd set of crochet hooks and by far the best! Even bought a set for my friend whose hands have been badly deformed because of arthritis. Can't recommend this product enough.

Ich hatte im Vorfeld schon eine andere beleuchtete Häkelnadel, doch die Aufsätze waren aus Plastik und manchmal drohten sie schon zu brechen. Vor allem ärgerte ich mich, das ich nirgends wo einen Aufsatz mit 2.0mm fand. Endlich hat das mit diesem Set ein Ende. Zum ersten sind die Ausätze aus Alu und damit super stabil, sind angenehm zum häkeln. Und zum zweiten, ist die Beleuchtung ein Hammer. Das Licht ist im Griff verbaut und leuchtet genau auf die Arbeit. Bei den meisten anderen Nadeln, so auch bei meinen alten blendet man sich selber! Wenn jemand ein gutes Produkt haben möchte, ist er hier mit Sicherheit richtig! KLARE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG!!! Danke für so ein tolles Produkt!

Absolutely Perfect not only does this come with All assesories needed for Crocheting it also comes with 3 different coloured cases for the Hook so you don't Have to stick with the same colour you can have a change whatever mood you in comes wit Pink, Red, White and Blue. Well worth the money. It is very easy to hold and extremely comfortable ti use and it is also ergonomic i recommend this as a must buy
