Equate - Hair Regrowth Treatment for Men with Minoxidil 5% Extra Strength, 3 Month Supply, 2 Ounce Bottle, 3 Count

Hello Im 25 and recently I began to lose tons of hair. I had the traditional hair loss on the sides of my temples plus incredible thinning everywhere on the top of my head. It sucked so I tried minoxidil. Now there's alot to say here but Ill try to keep it short. For starters if you use minoxidil, you will have bad dandruff. It's not only that the stuff itself dries and looks like dandruff, but your skin is going to peel alot. This has been crazy annoying. I recommend anti dandruff shampoo, probably Nizoral because that also helps the hair loss. Anyway another thing is when you try minoxidil you have to accept that you will lose a ton of hair at first. This happened to me and it sucks SOOOOO bad. At the time I felt I was going to be pure bald in a matter of weeks, but after a while it subsided. For me the major hair loss was at 3-5 weeks. Thankfully though, today is the 7 week mark and just this morning I noticed 1/8th to 1/4th inch little hairs all over up there. Tons of them. Its great. The hairs are mostly on my temples. Yes the box will say you can't grow hairs there but they're wrong. If you look into it some people claim to have grown beards with this stuff, let alone their stinkin temples. Anyway I have a few things to say now. There is no reason to buy minoxidil at all from Amazon. Walmart.com sells it cheaper. Now another thing. I used way more that 2 mL per day. I used at least 4mL some days. Some days I applied it 3 times, some days only once. The thing is it does make your hair greasy, so I don't want to use it before school. I would advise you buy Lipogain minoxidil. It is alot better in that it doesn't make your hair look as bad.

I BARELY used this... I might have used it consistently 3 x per week for a month when I first received it and then after that I've only used it maybe once per month. I am going to start using it more because I have noticed all these little hairs growing in along my temple - hard to see but first picture is pre-treatment and 2nd picture is after 8 months of very occasional use. You can see little 1" long hairs in 2nd picture. Maybe I am just in a natural hair growth cycle but I doubt is as I am 43 year old. Just like with razor blades, women's products are so much more expensive for little reason. Of course do not use anything like this if you have any chance of pregnancy.

Started using this when I first noticed some thinning some 15-20 years ago. Well worth the money and the equate brand is much cheaper than the name brand, and at the age of 63 I still have all my hair, while most of my friends have lost theirs, (hey, I tried to tell them it works. It's probably too late for them now as they've been bald for too long, but who knows, it still might work). The box was pretty mangled from being mailed in a small padded envelope barely large enough to contain it. Receiving busted up packaging is never a good thing as there is no way to know if the contents are untouched/unused. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time but I don't plan to order any more from the same supplier, (it was supplied through but not by, Amazon, so Amazon is blameless). I could have bought it for almost the same price locally but Amazon has spoiled me to where I buy almost everything online now and delivered to my door.

works great if you have a tendency to have a itchy scalp from this like me, i fill a 2.5 ounce scalpicin old spray bottle half with scalp itch relief with1% hydrocortisone liquid from walgreens and 50% of this hair treatment and spray on top of scalp till it runs a little down sides of head twice a day leave on for 2 hours or longer each time, usually takes a long while to dry but works great but now also have propecia pills to supplement but my results are fantastic!! kirtland brand from costco or awl-mart never worked very well for me and the regular rogaine brand did not only equate works for me but your results could be different than mine

This product works well and definitely has a noticeable difference but I feel like it leaves behind a funky residue that I don't like in my hair all the time, lending me to use it less than recommended.

It works!! I'm still in awe. It took about 4 months and my hair is back to stay!! I applied it as directed for the first 2 months, and then backed it off to 1/2 the recommended dose. I'm so impressed. I stopped taking it about 2 months ago and my hair has not begun thinning, like others have claimed. I applied it to my receding hair line and it was a pain to apply it and then wait for it to dry twice a day, but a little patience and perseverance and 4 months later I have my hair back!!

I kept track with pictures monthly: I started with the foam Rogaine (Aug 29, 2021) and was seeing results by January 2022. Then started with this (it uses a dropper) and things seemed to slow. Thought maybe normal, maybe taking a breather as it is slow anyway, but this seemed to stop any progress. Next, I tried the Amazon Basic (also uses a dropper) as it was less expensive. I seem to be going in reverse according to my pictures. I don't like the Equate or the Amazon Basic but will be going back to foam and Rogaine. Wish I'd have stayed with that as this takes time but worth it to me. Hint: Take starting pictures of your hair, wet and dry, and take monthly.
