Comfortable, Fantastic Seal, Unbeatable Price
These are my first set of earmuffs so I really have nothing else to compare to, except a pair of Bose QC25 active noise canceling headphones (which I'm now returning because these earmuffs are so good!). That said, these earmuffs are fantastic. Absolutely unbelievable sound isolation for the asking price, which was just under $12 at time of purchase. The earpads, and pretty much everything else about the muffs, is built like a tank and definitely feels like it's built to last. That is not to say they are not comfortable, because they are! The ear pads provide a smooth seal around your ear, so long as you have medium to small ears. It is possible that they might overlap with ears on larger heads. The adjustable band makes it easy to find a great fit, too, though I must also point out this is probably designed for smaller heads, as I have to use them fully extended for my most comfortable fit and I have a medium-large size head. In terms of noise isolation, these beat the Bose QC 25, which were $300 headphones, for a fraction of the price. I guess the moral of the story is if you want noise isolation, get earmuffs and not headphones! And if you still need music in your life, just pop some in ear buds underneath. I use a pair of in ear buds under these muffs and the noise isolation improved even more. I could stick my head right next to a window air conditioner on full blast and I couldn't even hear a whisper - even with no music playing! These also look great and I feel no shame or embarrassment wearing them out in public with earbuds underneath. I think they blend right in, especially these days when pretty much half the people on the streets are walking around with their enormous over ear headphones. Fantastic product. Will order more in the future, almost definitely!

Perfect for our drummer!
My ten year old started playing the drums recently, which is obviously a very loud hobby. He started to complain about ringing in his ears after practicing, so it was clear he needed some kind of hearing protection. He picked this pair for the cool green and black look, but we are also very pleased with how well they work. The earmuffs fit him very well and are quite comfortable. He usually practices for 20 to 30 minutes at a time, then has lessons that are about 45 minutes long. He says the earmuffs don't bother him even after the longer sessions. He's also reported no more ringing in his ears and is thrilled he can pound away on the drums with enthusiasm without having to put up with ringing ears. The earmuffs mute sound enough for protection but allow him to hear his instructor at the same time. I'd definitely recommend these.

really good quality
ive been using for 4 years now even tho its looser than when it was new (which is normal) it still works for less loud everyday things (eg., sleeping). i dont use for sholting ranges or jack hammering i just use for noise sensitivity . its jot too bulky compared t its newer generations. its not really foldable but that doesnt matter to me cuz the twaiting thjngies dont break as easily compared to other brands. the top is strong so i can hang it on something. the war pads arents that soft compared to its newer generations but thats okay.

Great set!
I really enjoy the level these isolate at. Cuts out a lot of pneumatic and clanging and still letting us understand what your coworker is saying. Light weight. Clamps a bit tight. Faux leather/ pleather is a bit warm. And cheap too! All while still being more comfortable than earplugs alone. Still a good recommend!

Great for drum practice
We have a couple drummers in our family. These earmuffs work great for a drumming student when practicing. They fit over the ear and seal around the ear without pressing on the ear, so they are quite comfortable. They block out enough of the acoustic drum kit to play without damaging your ears and it is still possible to speak with the person next to you. I have also tried them with my Etymotic Research ER7-MC3-BLACK-I-A MC3 Noise Isolating In-Ear Headset and Earphones for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch - Black earphones underneath them. I use the Etymotics almost every day and I love them, but I don't like the way they feel under these earmuffs. I know some drummers play this way, but it didn't work for me. I do not like them for playing along to music. (That is what I was trying to solve it the Etymotics under them.) If I play music through my stereo, then I really need to crank it up to play along. If the volume is too low, I can't hear it well enough to stay in sync with the song. I use Vic Firth Stereo Isolation Headphones. when I want to play along to music. They to not fit over the ear like these and they put a bit of pressure on the ear when wearing them. When I turn from side to side, the seal opens up a bit and I can hear the volume of the drums get much louder in that ear. They are adjustable and they fit our 8 year old as well as my wife and I. For the price, you can't go wrong with these earmuffs. They are great for practicing on an acoustic drum kit. I can't comment on how they work for outdoor equipment as ours re used only for drumming.

BEST TODDLER HEADPHONES
BEST TODDLER HEADPHONES Spent a lot of time and money finding headphones that were good for my toddlers. The toddler marketed ones are junk, very uncomfortable and bulky, and honestly questionable about if they actually were reducing noise. I trust 3M and have used their products in many different ways as a mechanical engineer. Supper happy with how these fit and how low profile they are. I do understand they probably have less noise reduction on a toddler than intended, because of their smaller head size. But what we use them for is to drown out the sound of the baby crying, or when he is having a hard time in a extra noisy environment. We are not a tablet family, so he gets to happily sit there with a bit of noise reduction.

For my small autistic 7 year old with a growth disorder (but adult size head circumference)
I bought these for my 7 year old who has high functioning autism. I kept reading reviews on the various jr version of these and other headphones about how someone's 'small for hisher age' child was uncomfortable in the jr version because it was too small. I wanted to mention that height/build does not equate head size. My 7 year old has a growth disorder. He's been on growth hormone daily shots for 4 years and has still only made it into the 5% bracket for his age on the charts. Obviously he is very small for his age. However his head circumference is only half an inch under my 21.5" (which is within the average range for an adult head). So instead of ordering the Jr version I ordered the adult version with the same NRR 22 db specs. I just wanted to throw that reasoning out there in case it could help anyone else pick the right version. I would order headphones for a child based off whether their head circumference is within the adult average or child averages, not based on if the child overall is small or large for their size. Having ordered based on head size, these fit my 7 year old perfectly (these are adjustable, the top come quute close to the ear muff part, but you can just pull it and it adjusts up farther). They seem to help him keep on task and when I tried them on there was a noticeable reduction in background noise (could nolonger hear the dishwasher going in the next room over) without taking away from human speech (although did somewhat mute it). We homeschool so these are very helpful to keep him from being distracted from common household sounds while doing school work. There was an added bonus of these being green, which is my son's favorite color ;-)

Aamzing head phones for any ASD person !
My ASD son loves these. and for the 1st time in 9 years he was able to enjoy the fire works! and that made it all worth it. They are not to heavy so they are comfratble on his head and fully cover his hears. he is 9! They block out the loud sounds but he can still hear us and talk with us . Wich makes them even better! But they also fit my head comfratble as well! Mommy had to put them on 1st to show him. They have so many amazing Colours that I was able to get them in the colour he loves and matches his other ASD stuff. Defetnly a must and great buy for any ASD family!

Fell apart after a couple uses
I kept this in my van as a spare. When it was time to use it fell apart almost straight away, the outer foam fell off and couldn't be placed back. The customer representative wasn't very helpful. Complete waste of money, will never buy this again.

Product is ok, except box was opened when arrived. The main amazon package was properly sealed. No time to return as giving for christmas gift.
