If you're sick of gainers or supplements tasting chalky and quite honestly, pretty gross, then give Muscle Milk a shot. I've been taking sports supplements for over 20 years and Muscle Milk is by far the best tasting brand in my opinion, while offering a good value compared to other big brand supplement names. I don't typically use gainers, but I needed a bit more calories as I got into a more intense workout routine. However, I didn't need as much calories as a regular serving (4 scoops!!), so I just do half servings to get a good amount of carbs, protein, fats, and vitamins and minerals. Plus, the jug lasts longer that way as well. I can't speak for the other flavors in the Pro Series Gainer, but the chocolate flavor, which I mix with milk, makes for a really rich and tasty shake! Like...it actually tastes good that I want more LOL!! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a reliable brand gainer that doesn't taste like chocolate flavored chalk. Pros: - Tastes awesome! - Quality ingredients - Not quite as pricey as other big brand names Cons: - A single serving is 4 scoops, which is quite a lot to take in all at one time! But hey, do you even lift, bro?

I did a lot of searching to find a product to help my son gain some weight without it being horrible for his health (I was shocked to see the cholesterol, sugars, and fats in some of these "gainer" products) and this fit the bill. He has to take ADHD meds that kill his appetite, and being a teenager now he was self conscious about being so rail thin. This has helped him to put on some weight so that he looks and feels much healthier, but without making him fat. He also started working out recently and has been gaining muscle as well. I suspect that is in part thanks to his young age, but also the extra protein and nutrients from the shakes giving his body what it needs to grow. He drinks a shake every morning and also after his workouts. If you have a teen that's struggling to gain weight like mine was I definitely recommend giving this a try, it's made a world of difference for my son's confidence!

I am also a high metabolism burner. I could NEVER eat enough calories to keep my weight up. I could consume a family size bag of Lays PotatoChips and not gain an ounce. Got this one month ago and have NOT gotten into a regular routine of drinking it...very hit or miss. Starting yday I decided to get serious so now it will be twice a day. Last night after two servings...once after 45 minutes of free weight training and again last evening as a treat (it is delish). The scales showed 3 lbs. I gained last night and of course this morning 1 ½ was gone...but 1 ½ gain is huge for me! Now I'm dedicated to at least twice a day. I'm mix mine with whole chocolate milk and whole white milk for the extra calories and it is really delicious...and I'm picky. I want to gain 15 lbs and when I do I will report back as to how long it took. I highly recommend this!

Gained 2 LBs per week using this stuff. Have tried other brands, but this ones taste is MUCH better than others I have tried. It actually tastes like a chocolate shake (I mixed with whole milk for extra calories). No chemical taste but there is a slight hint of something other than chocolate... I compared it to what I thought a chocolate shake would taste like if it had a granola bar mixed in with it, but it was very palatable and after drinking a few shakes I even found that I started to like and want to drink them. Mixing was no issue, but even properly mixed the texture can be something that you have to get used to. For the most part there was no grit (if properly mixed, more on that in a moment) but it could be rather thick. Think of it like a melted chocolate ice cream shake. Not quite as cold as ice cream, but thicker than milk (again I mixed with whole milk for extra fat, protein, and calories) so this could be different in water. When mixing (with milk) I found it best to add the mix and give it a good, vigorous shake for about 10 seconds... Then let it sit for about 5-10 min, then give it another good shake for 15-30 seconds. I found letting it sit for a few min let the milk soak into any of the mix still in little "groups/balls" so that the next shake would break it up. This seemed to work better than just shaking and shaking and shaking. I am sure a blender may help with this, but I didn't want to clean something else.

This was a lot bigger than I realized. 5lbs is double the size of my head, and seems worth the almost $30. It tastes really bad with water, but may be better with milk to give it some body. Doesn't really taste like chocolate, more like cocoa flavored water. It's not horrible that you have to dump it, but it's like drinking a skim chocolate milk with extra water. I should have gotten the vanilla one instead so that it could've been a base to mix with other flavors. Chocolate is more of a stand alone flavor. I'll have to just power through to finish the 5lbs of powder. Overall, its weight is worth the money, but the taste could use some working on.

If you trying to gain weight this def does it. I have extremely hard time maintaining my weight and this thing did it. I went from 130lbs to 158lbs. I am now fuller and after working out along with taking this daily I can see that the weight not only goes to the area worked out but it evenly fills my body. This is the last resort and I couldn't maintain my weight that I was about to give up. I took CytoGainer prior and it didnt do the job but this here did. Now remember this here is to gain muscle and weight while CytoGainer is to get ripped. Overall my experience with the product is that it works as advertised and will never change products now that I know this is def the way to go.
