General BN59-00673A Remote Control for Samsung TV

Works very well. Is an almost exact replacement for the Samsung model BN59-00695A, except for the back light for the buttons which can be turned on as needed. This replacement only has the back light for the volume, channel, mute, source, channel list, menu, w. link, pre-channel, -, and 0 buttons. The back light is also blue and it is still harder to see. The original remote control would light up all buttons with soft white lights which makes it much easier to see each button in the dark. But, this new remote is a good replacement and an excellent price. I would definitely recommend it.

Purchased in January 2015. Worked great out of the box, but had issues with the casing separating on the left side which affected using the volume button. Super glued the sucker shut and it worked better for about a month. Began having issues with all buttons after the IR lens seemed to look like it was bulging out further than it needed to be. I slightly pushed it back in and the remote worked OK for about a day. Now it's a pain to put the volume down and power the TV off. I guess I got my money wort, but it's time to purchase another one. Struggling to decide if I should just buy an OEM version to avoid having to replace it yearly with a generic.

I have ordered these before. Many if not all newer versions of this controller have an "alarm" button where the minus button originally was making it impossible to go to any station like 6.2 or 6.3 because on the original controller you reached these by pressing in sequence 6-2 or 6-2.

I have an older Samsung LN46A550 and this remote works great with it. It looks almost identical to the actual remote. All the functions I need work. The only caveats are that it definitely feels cheap, the buttons are still stiff after a few weeks of use, and the battery door doesn't have a line preventing it from falling out like the real remote. If you can get past that, then this is a perfectly suitable replacement for the original remote.

It is starting to stop working when pushing the buttons could be the batteries but it is still 100 times better than the original one . Is a knock off but it is still worth it and would buy again. Initially on day one I would have rated it 5 stars but it is starting to fail a little bit.

It is a great remote to have especially when my original remote that came with my SAMSUNG TV is totally broken. Then, why did I give 4 star. First of all, it has a button light button which doesn't work at all. Second of all, in one corner of the remote control it is slightly open. If you push on it to close completely, it clicks and opens again. Third of all, it won't work if you hold the remote control directly at the TV. You have to hold the remote control in an angle about 30 degree for it to work. Otherwise, I love it.

Used everyday for about four months. So far no problems. Same functions as the original. Lighter and the all buttons do not illuminate like the original. It works and I will buy another if a replacement is needed.

Shipping was quick.When comparing this remote to the original Samsung remote I notice that the new remote is lighter and feels cheaper. It requires more effort when pressing the buttons in order to get the remote to function.
