The Rice Polish. Daily Non-Abrasive Exfoliator

This powder is a chemical abrasion, not a GRIT. It is a rice powder that you put in your hand, drop some water from the faucet into it, and rub. It creates a pale green light soapy foam that you then rub all over and wash your face. It has a beautiful, faint citrusy scent, and leaves your akin feeling amazingly soft. The formulation has a pH balance of some sort that eliminates that rough feeling of water on skin. It even made my washcloth soft! I am HOOKED.

Have type 2 rosacea and this makes my face feel clean and soft. The grains remind me of sugar, they are gritty until you mix it into your warm moistened skin for 30 seconds then it becomes a regular face soap. You only need a tiny amount, like the tip of a teaspoon. Wet your face and fingers before pouring onto your fingers so the dust doesn’t fly everywhere.

I have been using a powdered enzyme cleanser by AmorePacific for many years. When I spotted this one by Tatcha, I decided to try it too. It is just as wonderful as the AmorePacific so I would recommend either one. When I was reading reviews on the Tatcha on another site, I realized that a lot of people don't know how this works. Some were complaining that the powder disintegrates too fast and they don't have the grit to put on their face. People, this is NOT a physical exfoliant! The powder is supposed to disintegrate and the more you rub your hands together, the more lather you will work up. The way this cleanser exfoliates is with the enzymes it contains, not by rubbing grit into your face. In fact, all those cleansers like the apricot one with the ground up pits are very bad for your skin. You are much better to exfoliate with a cleanser like this one or by using a glycolic or lactic acid toner

great foam and smooth skin without film. kinda pricey tho.

Tatcha is SUCH a good brand but expensive

Makes my skin feel so smooth after use. I love all the products I have tried from Tatcha and will continue to use it. Nearly 80 now but I am still worth having my face feel great.

I love Tatcha products. I’ve been buying this rice polish for years and it always does the trick. It helps to even out my skin texture. It’s a great every day exfoliator because it’s not irritating or too harsh, once you mix it with water, it becomes a foam. In the evenings,I typically oil cleanse my face and then use this product as a second cleanse.

I was looking for a scrub for dry dehydrated skin and this was a great solution.. especially because I’m using anti aging products

Nothing amazing. It works as a gentle rice based exfoliant but it compared to price and what it does, there are better alternatives.
