Works like a charm!
The media could not be loaded. After trying a different cable rail product that failed miserably, I was nervous about this one. But let me tell you, this one is a winner. It's easy to use and holds the tension perfectly. It looks beautiful installed as well. To make this work properly, you need to pre-drill your post holes. After that, crimp the cable and the screws together, making sure to use a right screw and a left screw. The next step is best accomplished with 2 people (though you could alternate on each side if you had to). Each person should simultaneously turn the lag screws into the post so the cable does not twist back on itself. Keep going until it's super tight - you should be able to hear a low base note if you twang the cable. You should also not be able to fit a 4" sphere in-between cables according to the building code (we had no problem achieving the right tension to meet this).Few additional tips: You absolutely need a hydraulic crimper. We bought the Harbor Freight one as other reviewers suggested... Can't say i'd recommend that one - two broke on us and the third was iffy. Crimp your screws and wire as tightly as you can so that it doesn't slip. We also found that the 1 1/2 shorter than the span of the post for the cable measurement was perfect for us.The one negative that I found was that the included drill bits are poor quality. We broke multiple of them while drilling into the posts, causing us to have to slightly offset some of the cables. It ended up looking just fine (not really noticeable), but a higher quality drill bit is needed.Overall we love the product and would definitely recommend it.

Great, but needs a 2nd wrench
Overall the product is very good and ends up with a great looking railing. It’s nice that it comes with the right size drill bit & wrench. But since you have to screw both ends in at the same time, it would be much more helpful if the kit came with 2 wrenches. Also, the left & right ends are labeled in the bag, but they’re is nothing on the actual unit. It would be helpful to have a R or L stamped on each appropriately. We used painters tape to help us.Even with these issues, I’d purchase this again. These would just be nice enhancements to the product.

Good system
Wasn't sure how this would work out or how long it might take. We did a rather large deck with over 700ft of cable and some 50 pairs of hardware in a day (2 people is key). I was afraid it would take longer. The hardware worked well. I used a slightly smaller pilot hole bit than the one supplied. The wrench included in each box worked great and the lags went in easy. Looks cool. We'll see how it holds up. Thumbs up on the hydraulic crimper. Also, instead of the recc 1.5" reduction in cable length, I used 2" and felt it worked better since it leaves a few eighths to tighten the wires in case they stretch.

easy to install
I'm starting to install these now, but remember that you have a left and a right end. do not mix them together, use the left for the left, and the right for the right, or you will wonder why they aren't screwing in easy. The threads go in opposite directions

Couldn’t be happier
The media could not be loaded. For a fraction of the price of other systems this looks fantastic. It doesn’t have the flashy looks of some others but unless you really look closely it looks just as good. There’s a learning curve and you do need to be a bit handy to install. Lag screws tend to bend when crimping but are easily straightened by laying flat and hammering them back to straight.
