Gator GKB-88 SLIM Keyboard Gig Bag

Very pleased with this purchase so far. We’re using the keyboard bag to carry a Roland FP 90.The FP 90 is a full size and fairly heavy piano so we wanted a strong bag. We skipped the Roland bag offered for the FP 90 after reading a review about that bag tearing, failing catastrophically, causing the reviewer’s keyboard to drop onto a hard surface. We were taking no chances!Comparing photos of the Roland bag versus this Gator bag, we noticed that the carry handles on the Gator extend using the same strap down the side of the padded bag and into the bottom. (Ideally, it should wrap all the way around and up to the other side cradling the contents in nice solid U-shaped harness.)Now that we own our Gator Cases Padded Keyboard Gig Bag we confirm that it works well for an FP 90:- the unit fits with room to spare in every dimension- the internal padded tie-down straps help hold it in and attached to the bottom of the Gator bag and prevent it from moving relative to the bottom but because it is not a form fit, it does move from side to side in other dimensions inside the bag (the sensation is a bit “body bag”)- the zipper is heavy, crisp action and doesn’t leave any concern that it may open- the side mounted bag for holding the music sheet shelf fits the one for the Roland- the carry straps look and feel as secure as we had hoped and have sufficient padding for the weightOther notes:- the bag is huge and needs some thought on how to store it when not in use- even after owning it and feeling around, we cannot confirm that the carry strap does wrap around underneath the base to the other side, the case is very well padded. Maybe, Gator Cases can confirm- carrying a Roland FP 90 will be easier, but to do it on your own you will have to be strong enough to pick up and manipulate 60 lbs. by raising, lowering, tilting, as you work through doorways, seating and tables, in between cars, stairwells, escalators, people and such. The bag will take the bumps and have you less worried but we wonder if it would help if Gator Cases added two carry handles at each end so two people could carry the bag held in between with one person leading and the other following? Even better, make those handles concealed until needed?One more thing, this is a personal travel bag where you are going to be in custody of your precious keyboard. This is not a case that you can ship the keyboard in or give to someone in whom you don’t have confidence to be careful.

This softcase made by gator had the correct dimensions and is padded very well. It has a large pocket that fits my sustain pedal, the power supply, my staff music holder, pro headphones, dust cover, and sheet music, with plenty of room to spare. It also has a netted zipper pocket built in to the top of that pocket. This case is far better than the othercase from a different manfacturer, that I returned. Even if it was a little more expensive, it was well worth it. A lot more quality overall, even in the handles of the gator case.(I bought a different soft case that claimed to fit the dimensions of my keyboard. It did not fit.)

I purchased this for my son’s 88 key keyboard that he has to transport twice a week to play in his youth band. He has been using it for a little over one month and the case appears very sturdy. It is well padded, has soft sturdy internal straps to keep the keyboard snug. It has 2 pockets, one fully enclosed and another smaller mess pocket on top of the other. The pockets are big enough to hold all of his cords and pedal. The zippers appear well made and work well.He has a Roland JUNO-DS 88-Key Lightweight Weighted-Action Keyboard with Pro Sounds which weighs 35.6 pounds so it is heavier than a lot of keyboards, but the case appears sturdy and can handle the weight. So far we are very happy with this purchase.

So far, this gig bag is working out very well for my 88 key Yamaha P-115. I am a woman in my 50s, and I wanted to be able to transport the keyboard on my own without too much additional weight. Although I considered semi-rigid cases as well as cases with wheels, I needed a case that was lightweight and compact so that I could lift the keyboard in and out of the trunk or back seat easily as well as get it in and out of my house (including stairs). The rigid cases and the ones with wheels were both bigger and heavier. This bag is lightweight but seems very sturdy. The straps inside are very well cushioned and support my keyboard in place. I like that there are some rubber footings on the bottom of the case so that when you put the case down, it is resting on on those rather than the fabric. I can just fit the music stand into the larger front compartment. My only reason for four stars is that I would have preferred the smaller front compartment to be fabric rather than netting. In addition, although I find a shoulder strap too heavy for me to use. I think it would have been nice to have, especially when someone is carrying the bag for me.

Gator bags and cases are very high quality. This transport bag is well constructed and has the proper padding to protect a 76 note keyboard. Excellent customer service and prompt shipment! An excellent transaction to improve my musical equipment protection!

Based on manufacturer specs, I was confident the Gator GKB-61-SLIM width would fit my CT-S1 keyboard. The width is perfect. Height leaves a 4-inch wide gap at the bottom where I tuck a folded boom microphone stand and mic. My concern was whether the Casio CT-S1 sheet music stand would fit the exterior pocket because I could find no measurements for the pocket. The music stand is snug in the exterior pocket, but it fits and still allows space for the power supply, PageFlip Butterfly BT page-turner, and a compact sustain pedal. This lightweight Gator case seems sufficiently padded and durable for casual use--just right for my needs.

Great soft case, much better than expected for the price. It has good padding, sturdy wire frame to give it form and even stands up on its own, rubber pads for feet and cushioned handles. Zippers are sturdy and operate very smoothly. I’m happy with the purchase and ordered another for my 61-key synth.

Good product used for carrying a digital piano

Los materiales de primera, los cierres muy suave, muy buen acolchado, un poco exedido en lo largo para mí PSR S 950 pero hace su función. Ojalá uniera una versión un poco más corta y sería perfecta para los Yamaha de gama alta

Buen material, solo le quedó algo sobrado al modelo Roland fp30x, y eso que lo seleccioné slim, pero bueno cumple las expectativas, lo transporte en un camión y llegó bien el piano.Estaría genial que le pusieran unas ruedas ya que con el piano está muy pesado.Saludos éxito en sus compras.

Super well made case with plenty of room and reasonable padding for a soft case.Fits my Yamaha MX88 nicely and holds it snugly with padded velcroed straps inside.Nice large pockets outside and good quality zippers and handles.Gator makes pro level stuff!!!!

Quiero escribir mi agradecimiento con el servicio de Amazon y el distribuidor de esta funda: primero hice el pedido y me llegó una funda pero para teclado de 61 teclas, el proceso de devolución fue el esperado. Cuando me regresaron la cantidad pagada en monedero electrónico volví a comprar la funda y ahora sí, me llegó lo que pedí. Todo excelente.Le queda perfecto a mi teclado que, aunque es de 88 teclas no es tan pesado, un Yamaha MOXF8.La agarradera da toda la vuelta a la bolsa, lo cual lo hace más seguro de cargar y equilibrar. Los materiales son de muy buena calidad y en los compartimentos exteriores le cabe todo lo que necesito cargar, desde los adaptadores de corriente, cables y pedal.
