I am floored with what just happened. My street (in Massachusetts) was poorly plowed due to the most recent storm. A full-sized FedEx truck was just stuck on the street. I ran out, grabbed these from my trunk, and handed him these to see if they'd work... 2 tries!! All it took was 2 tries, and the truck was unstuck... AND they didn't break under the weight of the truck. Unreal. I'm glad I bought these... Can't recommend them enough!

i expected these to be longer and wider based on photos. probably more suited for small compact cars.

Son n law laughed when my daughter told him to use this the other day when they got stuck in the snow. I got it as a Christmas gift for them. Well guess what it worked!!! Now he loves it and is bragging to his friends about it. Yay!!!

Two of these, folded and stacked, measure 7"x11" x 2"--easily stowable under a car seat. Probably they don't work as well as the full sized traction boards, but you have to be a dedicated off-roader with plenty of roof rack space to carry those. I judge that these would be plenty sturdy enough and work well, on snow. It might take a little more patience than using big boards would, as these are only 21.5" long, unfolded. On rocky uneven surfaces, they might be more likely to break--but in some cases they might even be better than full sized boards, as they will conform more closely to the contours, and won't have a rigid span of more than 11".

I thought I was going to have to inch my way out of the mud as they got me out of one spot, only to stay stuck two feet back. Now the mats are stuck half-way under the tires and my tires are spinning over them. The first time they flew out from under the tires and could have damaged something or hurt someone. They seem sturdy, but flimsy and breakable at the same time. I wish I could say they are good for minimal situations, but they couldn't even help my truck back up and out of a down-hill gravity situation over Florida grass.

Was really hoping these would be useful, but they did little to nothing. They did not work at all to get my husband's Honda Civic past the bottom of our driveway where snow and ice build up. I would recommend investing in one of the heavier duty sets out there.

We were camping in Belgium and no one could get their Mobile home out because of the mud. But one cleaver guy had these with him and i was amazed that the big heavy Vans didn't destroy them.
