Protects very well against getting finned.

Great glove works wonderful on Northern Pike and Walleye. I could lip them with no issue. Grip was slippery though so you had to squeeze a little harder than usual because the glove would slide right out of their mouth. But even a 36"pike couldn't bite through.

Glove worked well as expected. Used on a northern Ontario fly in trip an protected my hands from many large Pike and treble hooks. I learned first hand the value of good gloves while handling large fish on a previous Pike fishing trip when an xtra large treble hook got buried in my hand. I had bought size xl for my left hand last year and it was a bit tight because of the heavy fabric. Before our trip this year I ordered the xxl for my right hand. It fits a lot better making it easier to get on/off quickly and allows better dexterity. Also invaluable when filleting salmon. I recommend ordering a size larger

Overall, good. If anything, it needs cut-proof material up along the top of the hands for hooks that may end up in places other than just the palm.

These work as expected. Even with wet fish they grip pretty well. I haven't tried to test out the puncture proof claims. Though I did get jabbed by a sunfish the glove seem to have stopped it quite well. I didn't want to try it out against something like a bullhead but for basic panfish bass and sunfish it seemed to work well. I purposely waited a year or two after purchase before writing the review just to make sure it hadn't degraded in quality over time and after sitting in my tackle box for that long and it did not.

There's something about having a solidly-hooked, nice sized bass thrashing about on one treble hook of a Jitterbug and your thumb impaled on the other to lead one very quickly to the conclusion there's just got to be a better way of doing this. This glove is it. I won't go fishing without it. I keep 1 velcroed in my boat where I can easily get to it and a backup stored in a tackle locker. Landing a gamefish with a mouth full of treble hooks is most always a dicey proposition. This glove allows you to lip a largemouth bass safely and grip larger fish better. I have lost very few fish by taking the time to put it on - if you can grab a net you can get this glove on. Takes a little practice - but then that gives you yet another excuse to go fishing. And make sure you've got a pair of glasses over your eyes when you fish. I've had a fish throw a lure that hit me in the eye hard enough to knock my sunglasses off.

Maybe I have sensitive hands... but this glove is rough on the inside and hurts. The seams are exposed on the inside and very hard, especially around my thumb, and the sides of my fingers. It makes the glove hard to wear for extended period of time, even after several machine washes. While it does offer very good protection from knives, hooks, fins, etc... it's just too hard. I really like the material, and it's flexible, so I think this product could be made much more comfortable if just designed a bit differently.

These things are great when handling the spiny fish like catfish. Also good when removing hooks from the Musky. They are impenetrable, saved my arse more than once.

The glove works great, but is only available for the right hand. It would absolutely be 5 stars if I didn't have to wear it on my dominant hand.
