Model Railroading In Small Spaces (Model Railroader's How-To Guide)

I moved into a house that has three small bedrooms, so I ordered this book to setup my train layout.This book is very useful in that regard.

If you are into ON30, maybe! If you are an O gauger, this is not for you. Excellent book of suggested track plans and layout design for the N and HO crowd. Good reference material to be had.

Most plans books give you only plans that look like christmas tree train sets,these look like a real modeled model railroad layout,most are diaramas which are functional model railroads !!!

Interesting layouts and more importantly good info on building.

This book was delivered way before the latest expected date and in perfect condition.The book gives you many ideas in building you own layout and you can tweak some ideas to a layout that you want.

I am in the planning stages for my 'shelf' layout. I hand have the purpose nailed down however location and floor-plan recently changed. The ideas found here will be very helpful.

A fascinating book describing how to fit the maximum model railroad layout into limited spaces. I would have welcomed more attention to HO gauge, but I was not really surprised to see that the emphasis was on N gauge trains. Actual lists of the supplies needed in each case are given. The ideas for compact accommodation of model layouts are innovative and can be applied to configurations other than those specifically described. Before you start out setting up your railway layout, read this book, especially if you have a space challenge in your home.

I thumbed through the previous version and found it more interesting. It had some more unique layout ideas and caught my imagination more. This book is good, but I found that most of these ideas had already been covered in the magazine.

This book is great help for those who are afflicted with a lack of space but still want to build a model railroad.

Not at all what I wanted. I wanted a practical book containing some track plans and practical examples, showing me "How-to" as the series name implies. What I got was "How I built a coffee table containing a railroad layout" and "Here is a photograph of my son/daughter packing a small layout into an even smaller cupboard". All in all this "Model Railroader's How-To Guide did not do what it says on the lid!

An interesting book with good photographs and full of relevant information.
