Kenny Clark knows Santa is magical and only he can find his family. Kathleen Collins fights poverty and desperation every day in her bid to find new homes for the orphans of New York. But what about her happy ever after? Can the magic of Christmas bring happiness at last? Review: Sweet love - This sweet, yet harsh , book is a wonderful read. Great love story, filled with danger and suspense. The characters are beautiful beings who give a lot and find that gifting returned tenfold. This book gives you insight into the lives of orphans, and that is a story within itself. It also gives a look into the hearts of orphan rescuers. Sweet! Review: Good ending to the trilogy of orphan train books. - This is the 3 rd book in the Hearts on the Rails trilogy. It is not a stand alone book, you need to have read the first 2 books as characters ate introduced with little background. This book focuses more on tenement life and gang wars in New York city. It's a good story and a bit more believable than book 2. I enjoyed and a lot of loose ends were finished in this 3rd book.

So beautiful to read!
Loved this entire series of books. To show how life in NYC was at this time was unbelievable. The tenements and so much poverty was very sad. The Women who ran the sanctuary were a blessing for so many children and families. A truly wonderfully written series. Each character was brilliantly shown for the brave and courageous people they were! Loved each and every one. Well written and intriguing. Couldn't put them down. You won't be disappointed!

The Best So Far!
I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series! This book touched my heart, especially when Kenney says goodbye to his sister. He is so strong as works through his feelings. I loved the special surprise in store for him and Jack. Well, onward to reading Book 4 with great anticipation!๐

Christmas wishes can come true
This was an uplifting story of Christmas with a kind and wonderful cast of characters. The genuine love of humanity makes this so appropriate for this time of year. This was a quick read and one of a series of six. So I can enjoy more of them. It is nice to hear some happily ever after stories about a often sad time in a child's life. I would recommend this book.

Touching holiday, historical read!
Kathleen Collins wants to make a difference in the lives of children who need families and love. She wants to give kids a chance like she was given growing up. Wonderfully written historical romance with heart wrenching moments, heart warming moments and intrigue of the time period. You won't want to put it down!

as magical as Christmas
I just love the Orphan Train Series - heartbreaking and heartwarming moments following each other, with lovely and loveable characters having to endure them. When Kenny loses his alcoholic mother and the sister who used to protect him, he is rescued by Angel, whose brothers, however, have connections to one of the town's worst criminals. At the same time, our well known protagonists from the Sanctuary, are looking for Kenny. It's Christmas time, so will a miracle happen? Maybe some of the protagonists are leaning a bit towards being naive, but despite that, or even because of that, these stories have a certain charm which will captivate a reader from the first page. And although it is a series, and really should be read in chronological order, it can be read in any order in my opinion, because whatever you need to know of what happened before will be shortly mentioned - you might wish to have more info, but it is always enough to let you go on (and actually makes you get the books you have missed). I hope there are many more.

Gripping and unputdownable.
Couldn't stop reading this from start to finish. Heartbreaking in places but a happy ending. A great read for Christmas!
