MORryde SP60-042 Sliding Battery Tray - 14.25" x 21.15" x 2.75"

After having received a used and defective Kwikee tray on amazon from a particular dealer, I studied these trays and gave it a try. The tray arrived quickly and packaged in a super manner. This tray is heavy duty and glides very well. The latch which holds it in place is very strong and powerful and yet easy to use. It's much much better than the Kwikee tray. I haven't installed it yet in my RV but it is exactly what I was looking for in all my research. The price of this tray is so much cheaper than Kwikee and yet, to me, it's a far superior product. Great seller and great product. Couldn't be happier at this point. UPDATE: It's now mid august after having purchased this tray in May. Once installed in my RV, it has performed flawlessly and is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have two large 6V batteries run in series sitting on this tray. I purchased the tray which is slightly larger than the normal battery tray and I couldn't be happier. I can now slide my batteries out and easily add water for maintenance. The strong latch holds in place very well during trips. When the tray is pulled out, it glides nicely and is very sturdy supporting these very heavy batteries. This has been one of the best purchases I've made on amazon.

I bought this tray for my 7000 watt generator in 2022 and its still holding up strong with my mishandling. In the years I left my back door opened with the generator hanging out when I drove down the road a couple of times and it held the generator up over the turns and bumps of the road. I recommend this to everyone.

If you are thinking of swapping out from 2 bat. tray and going to 3 batteries it is possible but as others have stated the smaller tray is a bit wider and it's not as easy as it sounds but can be accomplished. In my case the original tray was welded to the RV frame but there is a way with out cutting welds. There is approximately 1/2" difference in overall width (between the MORyde 2 battery tray and the MORyde 3 battery tray) which gives just enough room to drill out the slide rivets and drop the new tray frame and all into the old existing wider frame. Then I drilled and bolted directly to the existing tray frame and it worked out great. There was just enough clearance in front and back to just about center the new tray in the old location so the weight of three batteries is balanced over the steel frame. I am an avid dry camper but still want some TV and news in the evenings and 2 batteries just don't seem to hold up to the inverter usage. Hope this helps anyone attempting the same switch over.

This thing is perfect for mounting a generator, then sliding it out to operate. Our new car trailer came with a generator cabinet to store a larger Honda (EU7000). We have a clone of the smaller Honda EU3000 (Northen Tool PowerHores 3500), but it is still pretty heavy to drag in and out. After researching the market, I found there isn't much to choose from in (affordable) slide trays. There is a guy in Florida making nice, custom slide trays; but I was concerned about lead time. I found the MORryde SP60-044 advertised several places, but it was by far cheaper here on Amazon. Installation was easy and I had it going in a couple of hours. A couple of notes: 1. It doesn't come with mounting bolts. You'll need eight (8) 5/16 carriage bolts, washers and nuts. I used 2" bolts, but your mileage will vary. 2. It comes will a couple of cargo-like straps but they are way too short for my application. I'll probably use a couple of 1" cinch straps to secure the generator to the tray. I called those "notes" rather than "complaints" for a reason. Your bolt selection will vary due to your particular installation, same with the straps. All in all, this is an awesome tray for my application. Highly recommended.

This replaced a Kwikee tray that all of the bearings had fallen out of. This tray is super beefy, very well made and big enough to hold 3 batteries. I have 2 100Ah AGM batteries side by side and there's plenty of room for a 3rd behind them. The tray says its rated to 250 lbs, so it should handle it. Outside dimensions are 16" W x 24" D. Inside is constrained by the rivet studs holding the slide to the drawer; they stick in 1/4" on both sides. I peened them over to ~1/8" and rounded so they won't wear on the battery side...only reason I gave it 4 stars. Again very well made and highly recommended.

This product arrived in a well packed box to prevent damage. It included 2 straps that can be used to hold down a generator or items on the tray. The only issue I have is that there were no bolts included for installation. Additionally, when I called to see if MoRyde had brackets that can be used to raise the attachment mounts, I was told they don't have them for this product. They do have them for the larger tray systems. For most RV trailers, there is always a lip that is created where the access door sits. Normally this lip is about 1.5 inches. The attachments and slides do not account for this fact. Fortunately, a piece of 2x4 will fix the mounting issue.
