Does the trick
I had recently replaced some kitchen appliances with stainless steel. I didn’t want to replace the dishwasher so I bought this so they’d match. I found it went on fairly easy as long as you use a soap/water solution. It’s not an exact match, but it’s close enough. I will say if you look closely at it once applied, it does have a plasticy look, but it isn’t real noticeable unless you’re up close examining it.

Looks good, easy to use, good price.
This was easy to apply and looks quite good! The color is a light stainless steel, not quite as dark as my real stainless appliances but a good approximation. The adhesive is a good level of stickiness, so that it doesn't stick to itself too badly, you can pull it up and reposition it without lack of sticking, and holding it with your hands doesn't wreck it either. It is actually easier to take off the backing completely after you cut it to size, because the paper makes it want to roll up. Without the backing it will go flat. I applied it to my dishwasher and fridge. Both had to use one piece above the other. The seam is visible, but not terribly so. You have to look for it. My appliances were white, so there's some trim still visible. I tried to cover some of the dishwasher trim but was only semi-successful, I may strip that part off. But the doors on both were covered well.I used an X-Acto knife to cut around the trim as I applied the film. If you pull it tight you shouldn't get many bubbles. They seemed to smooth down well, and for stubborn areas, lifting the film and pressing it down as I put it back on worked pretty well. I did pinprick a couple bubbles, as suggested. There aren't a whole lot of directions, what is there is written on the back of the paper. I would suggest cutting a larger size and using a very sharp knife to trim excess after you have it on. However, if you need to put two pieces next to each other, use the manufacturer's edges if possible, since you will have a hard time trimming it straight enough to prevent gaps.My biggest quibble is that this film is not very wide, thus making me have to use several pieces. For example, my freezer door had one roll width plus about two inches off another roll. I also wish the rolls were longer. My fridge was just over half the length. To save money (i.e. not use an entire new roll), I used the shorter half below and some scraps on the edges, but if I'd had another three or four inches I wouldn't have had to do that. I was able to do the whole fridge and dishwasher with three rolls.

Eh, ok but...
The stuff’s not bad. I docked it a star because it is really thin and the contact paper itself buckles on the backing paper when you unroll it. This means when you cut it, you will have some overhang since the paper buckles out. Not a huge deal. The main reason I write this review is to let others know that it didn’t work for my application. I was using it on an oven door with a center cut out window. It is super hard to get this to lay flat when you have a center part cut out. I suppose it would be easier if I would take my oven door off and lay it flat opposed to trying to apply it vertically. Anyway, the corners of the area I cut out in the middle ripped and I could never get it to lay completely flat once I worked it down to the bottom part (because of the way the paper lays due to the center cut out part). It does look pretty good though. If you just have a flat surface and not cutting any large central area out, it will probably work well for you.

Great solution to update an old appliance!
This product is great if you have outdated appliances that you are wanting to replace, but don't have the money to right away. To be clear though, I would not consider this a "forever" solution.PROSInexpensive! This is so great to have a $10 kitchen makeover option. Makes my all black appliances look 1000% better and was so cheap!CONSIf you look very closely you will see imperfections, both to the product and the application. I did see a sort of "printing seam" in the product when it hit the light a certain way, but it was not super noticable. I was very meticulous but still had small bubbles or corner issues on application. Buyer beware, if you don't have a steady hand this may not be a good product for you (or maybe just find someone who does to help apply it). I was an art major in college who used X-acto knives a ton and I still had some issues getting it cut perfectly and applied without bubbles. In hind sight I might have bought two rolls to practice with because I messed up several times and the final application is a bit flawed because I didn't have brought extra to start over. The color is a tiny bit different than my real stainless steel appliances, but they aren't right next to each other so I doubt anyone would even notice. Also, this is more user error, but I failed to read the dimensions of the product and realized after it got here that it didn't fit the whole length of my dishwasher. I had planned to line up a second piece underneath, but ran out of material after messing up a piece while covering the microwave.SUMMARYOk - the product is around $10 so don't expect $100 results, BUT if you can't live with what you have, it is a great solution. I eventually plan to replace my dishwasher and microwave, but for the time being this was way worth the money, time, and effort. It really makes the whole kitchen look better. I can't speak for the wear and tear yet, but will update after use for a time.

I tried to use this as my backsplash but it ...
I tried to use this as my backsplash but it didn't work very well. Some worked but some didn't. I will have to buy more to replace the defective parts that didn't stick properly. And if your putting it over a painted surface, be careful if you have to re adjust it. It will pull off paint and will leave huge bubble spots where it won't stick anymore becuase it's already ripped off the paint. Next time I will probably get a pattern backsplash so it hides the imperfections.

Buen producto

Disappointed
I purchased this contact paper to cover my range exhaust duct to match hood. I could see a faint pattern showing a ‘faux’ brushed stainless steel look, but unfortunately after application it just looks like shiny grey. Very disappointed.

It looks great! The product has a grid on the back
I bought 3 rolls of this to decorate the front door of my upright freezer, which was just white before. It looks great! The product has a grid on the back, so trimming it to the correct size was super easy. It sticks well, though some of the edges have lifted a litltle bit where I wrapped them around the edges of the door. Overall, I'm very happy with it. It has created a really cool look and transformed my boring freezer.
