Perfect litter mat. Exactly what I was looking for!

This mat actually keeps the litter from getting all over the room - i love it.

I bought this mat for two reasons:1. Catching litter2. Easy cleanupMy cat doesn’t walk out of her little box, she jumps and litter flings everywhere. The mat is designed to catch and trap the litter, which I love, because otherwise it end up on the opposite side of the bathroom. I also love the mat because it prevents the litter from being crushed, which is harder to clean up.The clean up is the best part. I can pick the mat up and shake it out over the trash bin. On the occasion that my cat pees on the mat, paper towels go down first to soak it up and then it gets rinsed off with watch and vinegar, hung to dry and we’re all set.There are a few comments that it’s too small but it works perfect for my litter box. It’s the triangle corner one from PetSmart - perfect for space saving and it’s hooded.

My 22 yr old female cat has started peeing right outside the box, she backs up to the box and pees but does not go in it. This is the best solution I have found. I place the mat right outside the front of the box and cover it with a several layers of paper towels. I remove them when I see they are damp and replace them. Then wash off the mat itself once a day.

I had a similarly designed litter mat that finally needed replacement but this one, unlike the last, showed all of the excess litter that got onto it (a color contrast issue). If you use darker litter, it may work for you and the material is good for catching the bits that come out after your cat has done their business in the box.

My cat’s litter box sits in the corner of my mud room/laundry room. The space is small, so I needed a litter mat that wouldn’t take up too much floor space. I also needed one that would look nice since some guests come in through the mud rooms doorway entry. This litter mat checked all my boxes. I was hesitant to order due to the low price point. However, I have been impressed since using this mat for a couple of months now. It’s been extremely durable and easy to clean. It has not bent, creased, and the edges remain flat. I vacuum the mat and the area around it daily with a cordless handheld vacuum. Once a week, it gets cleaned in warm water and a cleaning solution. The mat still looks new to this day! The design and materials on the mat keep the litter from tracking by “gripping” or “embedding” the litter in it. This mat isn’t as thick as others I’ve purchased in the past, but it’s just as effective if not better minus the unnecessary bulk. I don’t know if I’d use this mat if I had a larger litter box or more than one cat sharing a litter box. For my single cat, it works perfectly! Highly recommend!
