Matis Exclusive Greek Kasseri Cheese (Saganaki Cheese)

I use this as an all-purpose cheese - for Swiss or Italian or Mexican or Greek or whatever dish wants it. I think the flavor is sort of a centroid of all those. Grates nicely, too. It's a staple! Sometimes I mix it with mozzarella because it's quite oily.

Kasseri is my favorite cheese and even though this is rather pricey I ordered one. Well I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of and speed at which I received it was 3 days, and you can buy lesser amounts than Matis Kasseri. If you like cheese, you must buy some. There are other brands that our more affordable that are very good as well. But if you like cheese and have not tasted Kasseri you must, you will not be disappointed!!

Disgusted. Total waste of money. I would not order again under any circumstances. I did not care for what I received. My Malamute did not care for what I received. The trash can was happy with it however.

I wish I had made boreches but I ate it finely sliced. It’s wonderful. Mildly tasting but with a good flavor and chewy texture. I wish it was a kosher cheese but I love it and ate it all gone with green apple slices. Lends itself to any cheese plate

Good taste and packaged very well

We are from the Detroit Area which is famous for their outstanding Greek food. Where we live now is a Greek food Desert. I bought this and Made SAGANAKI for my wife. It was outstanding, just like Greek town in Detroit. A little expensive but worth it!

I have perfected saganaki with this cheese! Before I used to buy it from a restaurant for close to $10 a slice. Now I just make it at home and it tastes just as good! Olive oil, dredge w flour that has a little salt and pepper, a bit of metaxa at the end, with some fresh squeezed lemon juice to top it off. Opa!
