Maruchan Instant Lunch Hot and Spicy Flavour with Shrimp Ramen Noodle Soup 64 g

I think the beef one tastes better

My son and his friends love Ramen noodles. I don’t care for them from a health standpoint, but they’re all obsessed with them so I try to keep them in the house. These hot ones were a hit and we will order again once we run out.

It’s Maruchan, so you already know what you’re getting. The noodles are good, the spicy shrimp flavor is actually pretty tasty, and it’s super convenient when you need a quick meal or snack. Nothing fancy, but it’s cheap, easy, and hits the spot. I’ve bought these before and would buy them again.

Cooking time instantly

I’ve tried countless instant ramen cups, but Maruchan’s Hot & Spicy Shrimp flavor stands out for its bold, balanced heat. Each 2.25 oz cup comes with a small foil pouch of shrimp-flavored seasoning and a separate packet of chili-infused oil. After three minutes in the microwave, the noodle block softens into a firm, springy texture that holds up well—never mushy. The broth delivers a clean shrimp taste with a genuine kick that builds without overwhelming. I appreciate that the spiciness complements, rather than masks, the seafood note.Pros: Incredibly quick (3 minutes, no pot needed), distinct heat level (hot, not scorching), and good value for a 12-pack. The noodles have decent chew, and the serving size is satisfying for a light lunch or snack.Cons: The cup’s flimsy foam lid can warp slightly if microwaved too long. Sodium is high (about 1,800 mg per cup), so it’s not an everyday staple. Also, the “shrimp” flavor is more extract than real shrimp, which might disappoint purists.Would I recommend? Absolutely—if you crave convenience with a serious spice kick and don’t mind the salt. It’s a reliable pantry item for busy days, and the price per cup beats most restaurant alternatives. For a quick, fiery meal that actually tastes like shrimp, this gets my vote.
