WD 1 TB My Passport Go Portable SSD - Cobalt Trim

I am only reviewing this as the recent reviews all appear to be written against unusual expectations.The units (we have now bought a number of them) are wonderfully compact, fully self contained, and ideal for light or professional use.The inbuilt lead is a great inclusion, and at under 6 inch long, neaty stows in the case when the drive is being carried.The Speed of the drive is pretty sound, but limited by the USB (3.0) access on the PC, so on older machines tends to be more akin to a conventional Disk. On a modern PC, then it is slightly slower than a built in SSD, but faster than a real disk PC.This is the ultimate USB Stick, and we have found that it transforms back and restore operations on a variety of machines. When coupled with Acronis (other packages are available), then cloning a damaged machine is no longer a chore, but a time to fit in a quick cup of coffee.So, if you need an SSD to try and speed up an old PC, then look at a built in option, but if you are looking for something fast for backup and restore, or large data moves, or even just to avoid snarling up the network with large file transfers then this is the ultimate solution.The short lead being ideal to allow the drive to sit beside a computer, without the strain imposed by having a memory stick (why are they so big anyway? - the active bit is tiny) stuck into the delicate USB port.Has become a daily used item by most of our engineers, so a must have for anyone above a basic home user (although I'll bet it works well for movies etc.).

Lovely little SSD good speeds and good amount of storage nice and light weight with a little protection incase you knock it off your desk only thing I’d say could be done in black and red

Small portable drive which works quickly.It required a new cable to make a proper adapter free attachment to my MacBook Pro.

I was under the impression that these would run without a problem, but they won't.The drive stores the games but won't run them.You get a message saying the games need faster storage and can only be run from an Xbox Series S memory card or external drive.Games i've had problems with are Warframe, Balan Wonderworld, Forza Horizon 5 Pre Release, Back For Blood Pre Release & Rogue Company.I didn't put other games on the drive as I have had problems with these specific games with another WD 1Tb SSD That supposedly runs series S games.This leads me to believe there will be more.The red slimline My portable 1Tb SSD also has this problem.Considering the amount i've spent on WD SSD drives I could have bought the proper Xbox series S storage by now.

arrived early very good quality good price for ssd drive more reliable for storage and i see there is a transport pouch works well on all computers and backed up all my data

Initially, I loved this drive. I've used it (NOT very often) with my iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad and my android phone. Unfortunatelly, after nearly TWO years, it is not recognized by any of my devices 😥 ... Would NOT recommend it.

Its considered a class of USB SSD Stick drive - comes pre-formatted in FAT32, optimized for SSD. Its a mid-class SSD drive, hence, not very fast. But its not expensive for what it does. For my Use Case of backing up data from time to time, it works OK. The main value in it for me, its not a mechanical drive, so should last longer.

Soddisfatto, compatto, veloce e leggero si può tenere in tasca come una chiave USB.
