Women's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer

This is my third pair of New Balance 608 V5 trainers, and after trying a different color last time (pink), I'm happy to be back to the blue version. My previous blue pair lasted for two years and was incredibly comfortable. The pink pair wasn't quite the same- the leather felt stiffer and never really broke in as well- so I decided to return to what worked. Based on an Amazon review mentioning that the toe box could run a bit narrow, I again ordered the wide width and I'm glad I did. The fit is excellent and feels almost custom-made for my feet. As a woman in her 60s who is prone to foot pain if I walk too much, comfort and support are everything. These shoes, along with the insoles they come with, allow me to walk, hike, and stay active without the aches and pains I've experienced in other trainers. I've spent considerably more on athletic shoes over the years, but these are the pair I come back to. They're comfortable right out of the box, supportive without feeling heavy, and priced surprisingly well for the quality. If you're looking for a dependable walking or everyday shoe, these have earned my recommendation time and time again.

Got these because it was amazon prime day, and they were having a huge sale, but these are my favorite tennis shoes I’ve ever had. I definitely would pay full price for them. Super lightweight, comfortable, cute, and fit perfectly! Definitely add these to your collection!

Who would have thought that Amazon would sell exactly what I needed and was looking for? I recently purchased these “New Balance Women's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer” for walking. These sneakers are extremely comfortable. I was very satisfied that Amazon had the New Balance sneakers in a wide width. I am very pleased at their excellent quality and their good arch support. The fit of these sneakers is outstanding and they feel like they are tailored for my feet. I am susceptible to foot discomfort if I walk too much so comfort and support are everything. The sneakers do have a lot of strength and stability. They do run true to size and are a great value for money. Amazon, you achieved something great by endorsing and marketing these New Balance sneakers especially in a wide width! Thank You!!

I purchased the New Balance 608 V5 while it was on sale, mainly for weightlifting. These shoes aren't the cutest, but they perform well where it matters most for strength training. The sole is firm and very stable, keeping my feet flat and securely planted on the floor during barbell squats. Unlike cushioned walking or running shoes that compress under weight, these provide a solid, stable base that makes me feel more secure when lifting. Because of that firm construction, don't expect a soft or plush feel. The cushioning is noticeably less than what you'd find in walking or running shoes. The comfort is okay, but that's because the shoe prioritizes stability over softness. The arch support is also fairly minimal. I personally wouldn't recommend these for running since the shoes are quite rigid. If most of your workouts involve walking, jogging, or other cardio, there are more comfortable options available. However, if your main focus is weightlifting or strength training and you want a stable platform for exercises like squats, these work very well. Love these shoes, I've purchased them 5 times over the years. I use them for daily wear, lifting, maual labor, and hiking. I weat a 7.5 and have wide feet. The 7.5 wide was true to size, very comfortable. The newest looking pair in the picture is from 4 months of daily wear. The others have been through a lot, including water submersion and were surprisingly still comfortable after getting wet. Definitely recommend!

If I could give these shoes 10 stars, I would. I have ordered 5 pairs since March 2022. They have been a Godsend for me. I am 75 and have 5 degenerated vertebral discs, arthritis in my hip and knee, and slight scoliosis. I worked all my life in service and retail as an entrepreneur and a hairdresser….hours and hours of standing on concrete floors, day after day. It was very hard on my body. It’s not so much my feet that hurt, but my back and hips. I also have pronation inward on both feet. A soft, gel cushioned sole is great for comfortable feet, but does not give the stability I need for my back and hips. I need a harder sole, that does not allow me to rock back and forth. I also need a sturdy upper with lots of cross stitching to keep my foot in place. These New Balance cross trainers fit the bill. I spend all day in these. Even going barefoot hurts my back and hips, and sandals and casual shoes just don’t give me the support I need. They have great traction and keep me steady. I never have to “break them in”. They are comfortable from the first time I put them on. I’m hard on shoes, and I’m a hard fit. One of my feet is slightly longer than the other. This leaves most shoes causing pressure and discomfort on my big toe. Not with these. They have plenty of toe room. They are sharp looking and easy to put on. I love that I can wash them in the washing machine! If you’ve never done that, you’re missing out. It keeps them looking new, and when done right, they maintain their fit beautifully. Cold water, regular wash cycle, regular detergent. Treat any dirty areas with spray spot treatment, take out the insoles(throw those in the washer too). Tie the shoes, and submerge in the water on their sides. When finished, untie them and stuff the insides of the shoe with paper towels or newspaper to maintain their shape. Sit them outside, or in a warm place to dry….usually dries in 24 hours. I still have every pair I’ve bought. When they get too worn to look nice, they become my yard work and work shoes for painting, maintenance, and dirty work. I’ve never had to repair or re glue any of them. I highly recommended these shoes. They look smart and are extremely well made.

I finally decided to get a new pair to start breaking in, but I’ll be honest — I’m still happily wearing my older pair and probably won’t part with them anytime soon. The new ones feel just as sturdy and well‑made, with that same reliable support and soft cushioning that made me fall in love with them in the first place. If you want a sneaker that’s comfortable right out of the box, holds up for years, and works for both walking and workouts, these are a fantastic choice. I’ve trusted them for half a decade, and they continue to be my go‑to.

I love the shoes! For people with wide feet, please get New Balance shoes, and if they have a wide option, choose that. I am a 7.5 in shoes, but I go up a size to 8 for shoes like Nike due to my feet being wide. The box came in smashed, but the shoes were okay. The shoes, I feel, are going to be lightweight, which makes them great for school and walking long distances. I have had New Balance shoes before, which I say I prefer more now. It's light blue color I love because it goes with any outfit. Thank you for this!

Love these trainers! I ordered wide and they fit perfect. The only downside to ordering the wide with these trainers is they do look wide.. Comfy, but wouldn't order in the wide fitting, I'd prefer the toe crushing fit in the hope I could widen them myself and the shoe maintains the look of being a narrow fit. !! Lol. Fast delivery.

I wear these to work often, as well as when I go about anywhere. They are accommodated for my feet that are a bit wide, and I can wear them all day with no issue. They are cushiony and not suffocating at all. The colors are also pretty, and my one coworker loves to compliment me on them. I am satisfied!
