Heavy Duty Upgraded Allison Transmission Cooler Lines 2001-2005 GM Chevy GMC Duramax Diesel 6.6L Review: Way better than stock! - Only critiques, one hose from trans to cooler is too long. Creative routing and use of different angle fittings solved the issue. And would be more compact and fewer potential leak points with proper angled crimp-on hose fittings but hey, you cannot BUILD these to custom fit at THIS price! OHHH! AND I had to FABRICATE the correct RADIATOR COOLER ADAPTERS by cutting off the AN nipple from 2 straight fittings and TIG WELD them to the OEM hose adapters as what was in the kit would not work! 2005 Ext cab long-bed 4x4 6.6 Dmax w/ 5 speed Allison. Review: No instructions - No instructions but holding up ok so far. Seemed like decent hoses

Instructions how to install transmission cooler lines.
Great product to replace your transmission cooler lines. I would change the orings a bit bigger on the fitting that install from the radiator, top and bottom. The original orings on this product was not sitting in right was leaking, remove and replace thicker oring stopped the leak.

Caution, trans cooler can fall in the radiator tank!
This didn't come with any instructions as it comes with several different types and sizes(depth of fittings) of fittings and where they actually go. I mistakenly removed both radiator fittings trying to figure out which ones to use in the radiator and while trying one of the fittings, the radiator transmission cooler fell in and dumped all the antifreeze on the shop floor. Now I'm pulling the radiator to see if I can reseal it. I've never in 40 years of being an auto technician seen a radiator transmission cooler fall in the radiator tank.

Good luck!
I installed these lines on my 2003 Chevy Duramax LB7 2500 HD. The bottom transmission 90 degree fitting was too short on the transmission side so it could not tighten up without hitting the transmission on the 2nd rotation of tightening, therefore that fitting was useless. I couldn’t find a longer 90 degree fitting, so I ended up taking that hose to a shop and had the hose cut and installed a 90 degree female pressure fitting on it. I was also shorted correct fittings to fit the transmission cooler so I had to shop around to get the right sizes for that. Lastly, the washers are not concave as advertised and even if they were, they weren’t the correct inner opening size. I ended up grinding the old fittings from the radiator to use the correct concave type washers. One star because of the hassle of modifying and hunting down the correct parts. There is one thing positive, the lines look to be of good quality. Hopefully this kit will be improved...

Works good, but not perfect.
Put this kit on my 2003 LB7. It works well. I had issues getting one of the hoses to seal up but got it figured out after a couple tries. Not sure what the issue was. The hoses are a little longer tha. They need to be but I guess that isn't a bad thing. I would rather them be too long than too short. They rubbed in one spot, so I got a bit of those guard put on and solves that problem. I would buy them again.
