An Unfortunate Experience
1) I needed a bolt cutter to open the package. 2) There were no directions. 3) The lantern would not turn on, and the non-standard battery in the remote control was dead. 4) I could not get the base open to see if the batteries were supposed to go in there. 5) The compass was not accurate. 6) The vendor did not answer the phone and gave an email for contact, but I needed answers now. UPDATE: 7) By re-reading other reviews, I found out you must twist the base to insert the 3 D batteries. Luckily I had the right kind of jar opener to accomplish this--but it still would not work with fresh batteries. I am returning this one and ordering a new one.

A little cheaply made, but it performed well and was quite bright. The remote function was perfect in the tent. It wouldn't take much to break it, so better as a stationary light that won't get bumped.

Returned this product after one day. The remote control broke the second time I tried to use it. It is a very cheap remote.

Seems like a nice product. I did not receive any instruction which made putting batteries in it confusing. Unit work fine. I will see how durable it is.
