Grills BAC442 Pro 780 Ironwood 885 Folding Front Shelf Grill Accessory

Saw a how-to video and realized how easy this is to install. Always missed not having this shelf as part of my Traeger, and now it's great. It operates perfectly, one handed to lift it up and it automatically locks into place. Assembly WAS very easy, you just need a Phillips screwdriver (or motorized version). Everything is already there in place on your smoker (including the mounting holes and screws)! you just unscrew them, install the side brackets with those screws, then attach the shelf to the brackets with 4 more screws provided. I wanted the brand version since it is designed specifically for the smoker, and matches the finish. It will last for several years, so any savings for a knock-off is just a couple of bucks per year... not gonna break the bank. One of the brackets WAS slightly bent (imperceptible until installed), but it went back into true shape once the shelf was attached. No biggie. The brackets do have a LEFT and RIGHT sticker on them too, in case you aren't sure which goes where. Overall, really happy with this, and it works great and holds sturdy.

The tray is extremely sturdy. I never felt that it may give out when I place trays of food on it. Installation was very easy. All that is needed is to install the mount to the tray and then remove the screws from the grill and screw the mount to the grill. The tray swings out of the way so the cover fits without any problems. I think it was a great addition to my grill.

This tray is a must, it has came in so handy so many times. You do have to be careful when opening the door, you can't have your dish resting completely on the tray, you have to pull it forward a little bit to get the handle to clear and open up. Minor inconvenience in design but functions as it should and has helped tremendously in my cooks.

Took 2 minutes to install and adds massive utility to the Ironwood 880.

Bought this used. I believe it was a return. It was delivered box was shredded, missing screws. The shelf itself was not damaged amazingly. I ask Amazon for replacement screws I was referred to Traeger support. Traeger wasn't even the seller. I will say the customer service at traeger was great. The rep was friendly and helpful. He had to set up a traeger account profile for me, and shipped new screws. It was an easy install when you have all the parts. Next time I buy any accessories for my Traeger grill, I will buy directly from traeger and skip Amazon completely.

This is something that should have been provided by Traeger. Without it the grill feels incomplete. It is hard to do without if you are trying to stage anything at the grill.

Yes, for the huge price of a Traeger 790 Pro, it should come standard. But it installed and works easily. Only issue is that the big chrome handle of the smoker's door drops down to within an inch or so of the table surface, covering a fair bit of the surface area, and the first time you lower the door and the handle smacks the pan you just set there, it may lead to some impromptu swearing. Otherwise a good addition to the smoker. Folds down close enough to not hinder use of the protective cover. Another item that ought to be included in the original price.

The lock worked great for about 11 months. Really like the way it works and very durable. When the lock stopped working, I called customer service. Winter was very helpful when replacing a nonfunctioning lock. Also, is offering me a 2 year warranty on the new one. I have purchased 2 in the past and would again.

Seriously, this was the best investment. Easy to install, fits the grill perfectly and is so functional. Fits under the grill cover too.
