Fantastic Modern Aesthetics, Sturdiness. Minor Gripes.
Let me start by saying this desk is fantastic - the glass is high quality and sturdy, the design has a contemporary/modern feel, and it has a lot of space to work with. The box itself weighed around 80 lbs, and in my infinite wisdom, decided, "Hey I can bring this thing up several flights of stairs no problem." I took it out of my trunk (it's a big box) and I was headed towards the steps I fell and dropped the box. I was worried it would be broken. Ever determined, I spent the next 15 minutes hauling it up steps slowly and methodically. Opening it revealed a cornucopia of styrofoam. It was everywhere. I swept it aside so the cats wouldn't think it was a delicious treat. I started to pull the based out and everything was snug and undamaged. I finally got to the glass and was surprised that it had not looked like it even felt the impact of falling. It comes with screws and everything else you'll need except a screwdriver that I needed to put the keyboard tray in. It probably took around an hour all together to put this together. You can choose what side you want the extra shelf unit to be on, but you have to decide when putting it together as that is a specific base piece. It wasn't too difficult to assemble (I did have an extra pair of hands a couple of times which made it easier). I recommend not fully screwing all pieces in until you have them aligned properly, as it can shift and be slightly out of balance. It looks just like the picture when I was finished, very sturdy, beautiful to look at, and I am very happy with the purchase and the price. The one gripe I do have is more because of an OCD perfection stand point - while I took great pains to ensure the desk lined up perfectly, some of the glass is slightly askew (does not align perfectly on the left and right). It does not affect anything other than I notice it and wanted harmony on all sides. The other thing that constantly nags me is the keyboard tray functions just fine, but the right side does not go in all the way, somehow being ever-so-slightly farther out than the left. Minor gripes aside, for the price I couldn't ask for a better desk. It fits my personal preference of a modern style desk more than the large wood desks. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants an L shaped desk and is on the fence. Edit: Changed rating from 4 to 5 stars. My minor gripes were so minor I didn't feel it deserved to bring the score down. I absolutely love this desk.

Fantastic desk, cheap labels
True rating is 4.5 stars, but Amazon won't let you do half star ratings. I am pleased enough to round up. I got this desk on sale for a little over $100, and let me tell you, it feels like it is worth much more. At the time of writing this review, price is $145, which I still feel is a good value. I am very impressed. You will probably need someone to help you move the box when you receive it. Its heavy! The frame is sturdy but not too bulky, but the glass plates are very thick and heavy. Assembly was a breeze, taking only about 25 min. Make sure you decide which side you want the keyboard tray on before you start assembly and plan ahead. The instructions will have you install it on the side opposite the monitor stand. If you want the keyboard and monitor stand on the same side (as I did) you will need to read ahead a little bit and reverse the cross beam positions. The reason I would dock 1/2 a star is due to the very cheap labels used on glass table tops. They shredded instantly and left lots of paper and adhesive on the glass. It took another 15-20 min just to remove and clean up the glass. Luckily I had some leftover odorless mineral spirits from a previous painting project, and it made removing the leftover adhesive mush easier. But be prepared for a LOT of scraping. The little corner piece feels very sturdy and says it can hold up to 50 lbs, but I have my doubts. It is only held up by 4 screws. My plan was to put my new gaming PC on that shelf, but they can be pretty close to 50 lbs once you install everything. I couldn't help but be a little nervous. If you plan to put something heavy on that little shelf, here is what I finally came up with. I made my own adjustable table leg to hold up the outside rounded edge. All it took was a 1" diameter wooden dowel from the hardware store, a pack of self leveling threaded feet, some rubber furniture pads, and a can of black spray paint. (around $15 USD) Just install the leveling foot on one end and then measure so that the leg is about 1/4 to 1/2" lower than the bottom of the metal support. Then cut the dowel to length and spray paint. Install the rubber nub on the top for grip and so it won't scratch. Then just place under the desk and unscrew the leveling foot till its nice and snug under the desk and sharing the load! I'll attach some pictures later showing the setup. TLDR; I really like this desk and feel that it is a good value. It is attractive and sturdy. This definitely gets my recommendation!

I work from home and this desk gives me plenty of space to spread out. Even thought it’s pretty large, the glass and delicate frame make it almost disappear in the room.
