This book is a must have if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer. It is very informative and lets you have more options than you are told of. Although it may seem taboo to question a doctor or use alternative treatments, it is your body and you are the person going through it and you need to make your own decisions and trust your gut instincts. I learned about pawpaw from this book and they sell the one supplement on Amazon and if you read the reviews it will put your mind at ease. Please do not take my word for it or the word of any reviews, please do your own research and NOT ON FACEBOOK! Use trusted sources and scientific journals like NCBI, it is what all the doctors use. Remember you have the ability to take charge of your health and anything the body creates the body can also heal. Good information on conventional cancer treatment. Dr. Forsythe using lose-dose chemo and nutritional supplements claims to have a significantly higher success rate. There is some important information in the book if you are diagnosed, but this book doesn't help you take control of your cancer without becoming his patient. The supplements listed at the back of the book contain many "proprietary" ones that you can only get by becoming a Dr. Forsythe's patient. Most of the supplements he recommends include high amounts of antioxidants which makes since whether you read this book or not. The most surprising is taking 35,000 IU of vitamin D daily for most cancers. I would not do this without being under the supervision of a healthcare practitioner who frequently tests your levels. Since his methods are not covered by insurance and very expensive, this excludes all but the rich. The most important information in the book related to diet is that cancer needs refined sugar to survive so it should be excluded completely. Also, eating organic foods as much as possible is important and avoiding environmental toxins such as pesticides, herbicides, and excessive radiation from medical tests and electronics (cell phones, etc.). Although I believe most of what his says in the book regarding how conventional oncology is not tailored to individuals and is profit driven (I've done my own research), he provides no references. I still think the book is worth reading if you know little about conventional oncology but your reading should include books that will help you make decisions regarding your choice of treatments. This book is not in depth enough regarding diet, supplements, and environmental toxins.

The message of self advocacy at the heart of this book is powerful. Big pharma has hi-jacked our healthcare system to the point that people have lost sight of how they can take charge of their own health.

Perhaps the worst word you can have your doctor say is "cancer". And it gets worst when it's stage 4. This book give new hope to those who hear those words and think it's a death sentence. Doctor Forsythe has been helping cancer patients for a number of years with alternative treatments and getting much better results than main stream cancer doctors. It makes one wonder why we're still spending cancer research money on a medical system that continues to get such poor results while ignoring doctors who are getting much better results. I believe that the more you know about an illness the better chance you can overcome it and this book certainly helps further educate.

Cancer patients should not feel stuck or trapped with Conventional Oncologists. Take Control! Book lists all the Vitamins and Herbal Supplements you can take. Lists optimum/maximum milligrams that are far greater than the bottles indicates for maximum benefit.
