Great POE injector for DC applications.
I wanted to set up a wireless access point to act as a booster and repeater for my Starlink Mini when camping. The AP I chose (like many) requires POE power. I knew it would work on 12v so I just had to find a way to supply the power. Rather than cutting a network cable and attaching the proper connector to feed 12v I went looking for a POE injector with a 5.5x2.1mm DC connector and found this one. The price was super reasonable and the injector works awesome. Very pleased.

Works for my use to remotely power an ATT fiber transceiver.
I used this dc injector / receiver pair to power my ATT fiber to catX unit that was mounted in my crawl space. I simply removed the power adapter (not good in a damp crawl space - and the extension cord -ugg) and plugged this in. The power is now injected up in my garage where I have a modest little networking shelf setup. I can now power it all from a UPS and itโs super simple to reset/reboot everything as needed. My network speed has been capped at 50x50 by ATT and I believe that this dc balun set basically allows for 100mb connection since it halves the wiring to use for the DC power. Four of the eight wires are now used for power transfer and it would by definition disable the ability to get gig speeds. If I upgrade in the future Iโll simply run another cat5 or 6 line to gain gig speeds and keep this in place.

Good power splitter for security cameras
Had to use in two instances. PoE switch connecting to a camera that had both network and power cable and to a camera that needed extra power on a non PoE switch. both worked well. Thought cables were a bit short.

Great product, works great for me!
These work great, just what I needed. Its much easier working with these than trying to figure out which PoE standard my cheap Chinese IP "PoE" cameras use... I wish the RJ45 end was a tad bit smaller so I didnt have to terminate and connect the camera in the attic but thats not any kind of defect on the company's side. These are cheap (cost) and so far work fantastic. I understand all of the math and logic behind attenuation with these, but same goes for the 802. PoE standard.. this is just a lot smaller and easier to tuck away in my server rack than having a PoE brick and power supply. Also the build quality on these are very nice and solid. I see them lasting forever.

Work fine with some caveats
These are fine as quality and function are concerned but something to consider can be problematic, that is using these to send low voltage power over longer cable runs, over fifty feet or so, might not work due to the voltage drop in the very small gauge wires used in many ethernet cables. I tried to power up a 5 port switch at the end of a 100 ft cable and the voltage at the business end had been dropped from 5 to about 2.9, needless to say, not sufficient to operate the device. I think about 20 feet with a good quality CAT5+ cable is about as much as you can expect to be dependably functional. If I have some time I will do some decent measurements and post the results.

Works like a champ for a clean install!
These are a great solution for providing power and data to non PoE IP cameras without modifying a Cat 5 data cable. Some people may get confused as to the application of this product so to make it clear you NEED to use these in pairs and it is not designed to be used with existing PoE supported devices as a replacement for powering such device unless you wish to bypass standardized PoE all together. While these are NOT PoE injectors these can be considered as a PoE inserter as it allows you to insert a custom voltage from a non PoE devices wall power supply and to pull the power back off the data cable at the device being powered. These could be used to power a remote 10/100 network switch, Access Point or any other networked connected non-PoE device. These are not capable of supporting Gigabit ethernet as they only use 2 pairs of the Cat 5 cable for data transfer but work fine with 10/100 networks which is more than enough for multiple megapixel cameras.

Connect POE IP Camera to Airport Express Simply, Effectively, and Inexpensively.
All I had to do was connect one to each end of my 25 foot CAT 5 ethernet cable and I had POE. It was the solution that I needed since my Airport Express didn't not have POE capability. As you can see from the picture, you get two. I have had one connected to my Airport Express and 2A power supply inside the house and the other one connected to my Amcrest high def bullet camera outdoors. It has been several weeks, and I have had no problems. It is a very simple, effective and inexpensive solution. I love a good deal like that.

Did not work.
Purchased to power my wireless router, have 100 ft of CAT6 and power was not sufficient enough to properly run the router. Did a troubleshooting test with only 5ft of CAT5 from power to router and still no luck. Device powers on but not enough to keep it going. My device works properly without the POE injector.

Worked
Worked fine to bypass POE power around a non POE switch.
