All the pieces are made of glass or only the board?

The pieces are made of smooth glass. The board is also glass.

Are the black pieces made of glass also?

Made of some sort of plastic. The only thing that is glass / mirror is the Board. None of the pieces white or black are made of glass.

How big is the king piece? I am making a custom wall mounted chess board and need to know the dimensions of the pieces first.

King piece is 3 inches tall and 1.25 inches at the widest part of the base.

Does it come with a transport case of any kind?

Nice set but no case. I would suggest keeping the box to transport.
