Great for projects!
Honestly exactly what I needed for my projects! I have been staining a lot of wood and just couldn’t keep cutting up tshirts so I ordered these. They are cut up rags and they work great. I just finished my first project with them and didn’t even use a quarter of the bag!

A 4.5 rating would be closer only because: there were some seams in the material I had to cut off and some were too big and needed to be cut in half BUT! Too big needing cut down is way better than being to small! A few of the rags was spandex not cotton. All in All, a really good bag of rags.

Not quite as soft and smooth as others I have had but quite adequate for the job.

NO GOOD FOR STAINING -- SPOTS AND FABRIC PIECES POPPING OFF!!!
The rags seemed to have spots on them. Also, if you shake them there will be pieces coming off. I purchased but didn't use right away so stuck with them. Generally, these rags are very clean and white and these are somewhat off-white and there should not be pieces coming off of them. I have purchased "bag o rags" before and they are usually t-shirt cutaways. These are rags and wouldn't recommend unless you don't mind spots on them and pieces coming off while you are staining and then having to start over.

Not full cotton.
Needed more of a full cotton. Not a polyester blended cotton. Did these work? In a pinch I had to. Weren't lint free. For the cost of was compared to others but those were 100% cotton.

Dirty, stained, moldy and poor quality
Ordered for use as rags in a childcare. Entire box smelled like must and mildew. Many cloths had stains or bits of food / grub on them that could be picked off by hand. GROSS! As the box is open we can't return, but we will be submitting a complaint through Amazon.

Not for finish work
Good mix of white tags. But they have (at least some of them) to much lint for finishing work. I tried it and ended up with lots of lint on the varnish.
