Is it tend to stay vertical position?

Hello, no, this brush does not stand up. It lays down on either the bristle side or the handle side. You will see we provided an image of a few of the Ultra Smooth Detangling Brushes laying down (handle side). Hope this helps you!

Can this be used as a normal brush or is it just used in the shower?

It works great as a shower brush or regular brush. We own 2 that way 1 stays in the shower and 1 stays dry. My daughter has thick curly hair. This is the only brush that gets the tangles out with no tears!

Can this be used in the shower?

I don't think so. The comb is infused with Arian oil which would get washed out, I would think. It should be used as a dry comb.
