Weird looking brush, I know- but definitely give it a try! It detangles very easily and I have baby fine hair. While I can't attest to it not hurting since even regular hair brushing doesn't really hurt for me [high pain tolerance], I can say that it did an infinitely better job at not breaking my hair while I brushed it. Let's be honest, combs just take too long and I've always been a huge fan of brushing vs. combing. It can be a little tough to brush if your hair is a bit longer to the slightly odd handle, but I just toss all my hair over my shoulder and go at it instead of attempting the weird angles that exist trying to brush behind your back. Having someone else to brush your hair with this is also wonderful. I think I could fall asleep while my husband brushes my hair. Actually his husbandly duties have been amended just to include hair brushing the second I get out of the shower. It works great with wet or dry hair, but it's easier to brush when it's dry. It's also worth mentioning that the bristles are nice and soft and don't scrape. I love this brush, I might as well just toss out my other ones, I don't even use them anymore.

My son and I have extremely tightly curled long hair. It definitely tangles easily. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and work as a hair stylist. I've tried sooooo many wet brushes. This is the best wet brush of all time. My 2 year old just sits there while I brush his knots out. I have a ton of young clients and their moms ask for the link to this brush after because their child is actually sitting there and saying it doesn't hurt. Us moms need all the help and ease we can get!

This is a great brush for brushing someone elses hair, for brushing your own hair, there are better options. This brush is perfect for thick, curly hair, I bought this brush to help with my 3yr olds tangly curly hair. It is perfect for that, so I am thrilled with this choice! However, if you want to brush your own hair, the angle is strange and you may not be so pleased. I also use this brush to brush my 2yr old daughters fine, wavy hair and it works well for her as well(but so does a plastic vegetable brush, so thats not a real test of this brush ;-)) However, this proves that this brush is gentle enough for "lesser work," its not just for thick curly hair For self brushing, I highly recommend the original tangle teezer. This helps with tangles, removing them quite gently with fewer tears than most brushes. We also have a cricket Fast flo mini for in the bath with conditioner(my 14yr old daughter uses a fast flo full sized for use with conditioner in the shower), this brush for just out of the bath or dry hair. This brush is infused with oils which helps keep the frizz(&static) down when brushing dry hair.

I have very thick hair that is all one length and past my waist. I have been trying so many detangling brushes and they all hurt, pull and just don't work. I've had to cut knots out of my hair even after working on them with detangling brushes for hours. I live in Florida and drive a Jeep, so I'm dealing with some serious tangles! I decided to give this brush a try because it's shaped differently than other detangling brushes. From the first time I used this brush I was in love!! NO pain at all and it easily detangles my hair. I haven't tried it on wet hair but I'm sure it works just as well. This brush allows me to untangle my hair pain free and leaves my hair super soft and smooth. Anyone with very long hair knows the struggles of getting knots out. This brush is so amazing that I'm ordering 2 more today so I can keep one in the car and have a back up. Who ever made this brush is an angel to long haired girls everywhere!!

Bristles didn't even reach my scalp! Only good for very thin hair!

I bought this because the Kakakiki Kombbrush has such a steep learning curve. It only works on my hair under running water. Even though the Cricket detangler is prettier, its bristles don't reach down to my scalp. I might have to use it under running water as well. I bought it because I thought it was easier to use. Well, at least I know that I am not missing anything. If I hadn't bought it, I would have kept second guessing purchasing the Kakakiki Kombbrush. I wanted the Cricket detangler to replace the Kombbrush. I guess I am stuck with the latter. Here in December 2014, I decided to take this brush out of my "everything else" bin and give it a try under running water. It detangles my hair while I am in the shower. It penetrates my hair to the scalp, but only when my hair is soaked with water. I won't use it on towel-dried hair. It won't penetrate enough to my scalp. Nevertheless, it is a keeper!

I'm so disappointed in this brush. I have very very long fine hair. It's always tangling. I saw this brush and thought (from reviews) that I finally found a great product. ::sigh:: It was not to be. It's hard to brush your hair because of the weird design of the brush. Top heavy plastic triangle on a very short base? Not sure who thought of that but it doesn't work. As far as getting the tangles out? Nope. Didn't do that either. I'll go back to the brush I'm using now & will continue to be on the lookout for a better brush.

The ergonomic shape of this brush fits my hand perfect and is easy to hold as it glides through the hair and detangles it. I love the way it feels on my scalp. The bristles don't have sharp seams or edges. They are completely smooth. I have over 15 brushes that I have purchased over the years and have thrown them into a box that I refer to as the brush grave yard. I WON'T BE TOSSING THIS ONE. IT IS PERFECT!

Works great! Soft and not aggressive on my wet hair. Not as much hair falls out when I use this wet brush as opposed to a regular brush

Good, small and doesnt pull my hair as much as a regular brush easier to use on wet hair too ! Great for the price !

Best brush I ever bought!!

My wife absolutely loves this brush. Between this and the comb, they are her two favorite of all time.
