The Hunger Games Movie Mockingjay Prop Rep Pin

This pin came in the mail today, much to my delight. Here's what I love about it: -The pin seems to be true to size when compared to images of Katniss handling it in the movie. -It's made of metal, not plastic, and it has a nice weight to it; heavy enough to feel real, not too heavy for everyday use. Now, putting that aside for a moment, here are the things that you might take a moment to consider if you're trying to make up your mind about which Mockingkjay replica you'd like to have. -The product I have in my hand and the products in the customer photos are *not* the same, but they seem to be of comparable quality. Mine came in a small plastic bag with a printed label on it, not in the NECA bag. -This pin is very beautiful and very bright. If you're looking for a darker, grittier replica, the one I have in my hand is not the way to go. Of course, it seems the item you receive from this order may be distinctly different from the item I've received in mine depending on when you order it. I am personally very pleased with the product. As a collector of pins, it seems to me to be well made and sturdy enough to go on my jacket and not in my pin box. I'll come back in a few weeks and let you know how it holds out in terms of durability. Until then, I strongly recommend this pin to anyone, of any age, looking for a little piece of Katniss.

Cute little item for my granddaughter, two born same day, two years apart. She put it on and smiled brighter than she did with the bracelet which I had also gifted her. Bracelet cost 10x as much but she smiled 10x bigger with this little gift.

I got this pin after watching the movie, and it was on sale so I got it pretty cheap. It looks just like the one in the movie (i wasn't sure when I bought it due to the picture quality if it would look cheap or not) and it was fun to show off. The one downside to this pin is that the pin part is gigantic. I tried to pin it to a standard t-shirt and it punched a permanent hole in the shirt which now looks messy. It will put sizable holes in your fabric. However, I have a messenger bag that I always carry with me, so I pinned it on the front flap of the bag as a more permanent display, and there it looks great and only punches one hole. I don't plan to move it, so it works great for me. If you're buying this to pin it on a shirt or sweater, I recommend to buy the ones from Hot Topic. I heard from friends that those don't damage clothes too much.

I bought the pin here, since at Hot Topic its sold out. If you notice the wings of the mockingjay, to be an authentically real pin, the wings of the bird have to reach out of the circle just a little bit. Guess what? This one does, the weight is good you don't feel it, it's made of durable metal, which means it will endure any fall or being thrown. The circle around the bird should be about half mm bigger than a US quarter. The packaging was well done and safe and inside it was secure. The third picture shown that has the pin, the plastic packaging, and has the words NECA on the top right corner are exactly what you will see and receive if you order it. I advise you to buy it, it's amazing, and please if you're crazy over the Hunger Games, you should have at least read the first book until now and don't turn this into Twilight as in go Team Peeta or Team Gale, the Hunger Games is more than a love story, its about freedom and rebellion. I was so excited to see this finally come in the mail! The shipping speed was remarkable! The package delivered 3 days earlier than expected. Pros: The attention to detail in this product it amazing! It looks exactly like how it does in the movie and on the front cover of The Hunger Games. Also, it's GOLD not silver. Best of all it feels like metal and not plastic. I love wearing this around and feel like I'm apart of The Hunger Games. It's a perfect way to make friends jealous ;) Cons: It's so small! I thought it was going to be twice the size it came in. It's around the size of my thumb. So it's a pin, I understand it should be small but it turned out to be so tiny! And it's EXPENSIVE! 10 bucks for a small metal pin? I bought Mockingjay (the book) for the same price. Overall, I'm really happy with this product. Now that I have all 3 books and this thing I get to finally call myself a Hunger Games fanatic!

I originally bought the Mockingjay necklace(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YRK26I/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details)produced by the same company in hopes that it would look very similar to the original in the movie. When I got it, I was not impressed. The chain was not only too small to wear around my neck, but also poor quality and hard to close the clasp. It was a very shiny gold color and the paint started to wear off with me only wearing the necklace for a few days. The details looked more like little scratches in the birds feathers and beak rather than the actual details. Not to mention, the mockingjay is too small for the ring surrounding it. I was so upset. I found a picture of someone wearing this pin and had to find it. It was half the price of the necklace so I figured why not give it a chance and see if it is any better quality-wise. I received it in the mail a couple days later. This pin is fantastic! The details are beautiful in comparison to the necklace. The color and size resemble the actual prop way more accurately and by adding the new chain that I already had to get for the necklace, I can wear it as both a pin or a necklace. My daughter loved this and wears it proudly all the time. It's very sturdy and a bronze colour not silver as in the image. Looks just like the real thing.A great souvenir of the Hunger Games. It seems to be selling at a range of prices, but I got mine for around £5 so good value, too.

I got this pin about 1 week after I ordered it, and where I live that's incredibly fast for most things I order. Aside from the excellent delivery speed, it's an amazing product. The detail is very well done, the arrow in the bird's mouth is very narrow(unlike the last one I got), and the pin is very sturdy. It's very delicate looking wich I was really hoping for. Great quality!

No se puede pedir más en cuanto al producto. Es de metal (no se de qué metal pero es sólido y robusto dentro de lo que se puede esperar de una pieza fina). El acabado varía, en mi caso fue parecido al bronce bruñido. Lo único mejorable es el precio, quizá se hayan pasado por esto de ser una marca registrada y todo eso. Pero merece la pena. Fue un buen regalo.
