I'm kind of on a tight budget I was either think of this or the UTG 4'' ITA red dot. What im wondering is if this one is worth getting.

Ya know, you gotta weigh out the differences! If $30 is all you can spend, then the UTG isn't bad (I guess) (I own it, and I'm not very impressed with it....but you get what you pay for) The TRS-25 is completely worth it! The guys at the range mentioned they had the UTG and were complaining about how LARGE the "dot" is in the reticle. The TRS-25 is a MUCH smaller dot allowing higher accuracy at the same given range. Just my $.02 Take it or leave it. Later... -Korie G.

how long is battery life

On the dimmest setting ("1)", mine draws 300 uA - which would completely discharge the 225 mAH CR2032 battery in 750 hours. On setting "3", it draws 780 uA (290 hour battery life). On the brightest setting ("11"), it draws 26 mA (around 9 hours of battery life).

does this come with a mount riser?

If you have a sub 2000 gen 2 you will need a riser of at least .8 inches, but 1 inch would be better. I don't want to take off my iron sights so I'm also going with an M-lok 45 degree mount. Make sure to get a quick release riser. Also, the factory picatinny rail is not very precise so, getting the TRS-25 on straight is a little tricky. The M-lok 45 also brings the sight back about an inch.

Will this sight co-witness with magpul mbus blip-up backup sights?

I assume you are asking about an AR15 style riffle. If so, you will need a medium UTG riser, or something labeled absolute co-witness riser to have the magpul sights line up in the middle of the TRS dot sight. Or a high UTG riser or something labeled 1/3 co-witness to have the magpul sights line up in the bottom 1/3 of the TRS sight window. By itself, the TRS dot sight will sit way to low to co-witness with magpul sights.
