Does this have an odor? My last supplement (different brand) smelled like fermented herring.

I only put one small drop in the water bowl each day and I don’t notice an odor, nor does the bird seem to act any differently about his water. If you take the lid off, there is a concentrated odor inside, but I never take the lid off.

What is the shelf life after opening?

The last bottle I bought has a use by date that is about 3 years out. So the shelf life seems to be pretty long.
