Perfect fit for my 2019 LE toyota highlander

The tow hook worked great in the front of a 2018 Highlander LE. A plastic cover in the grill had to be removed to expose the threaded holes in the frame. This will be useful to tie down items carried on the roof.

This tow hook (51961-30020) works fine on a 2025 Toyota Rav4 with the front tow points on the bumper (which I guess are only found on Japanese made models). It is 1.5 inches shorter than the recommended spec model from Toyota for the RAV (51961-42060) but the threading is the same, so it screws in fine, and the length is enough to extend past the bumper. I'm not sure why Toyota only gives you one of these with the car-makes it difficult for hitching canoes to the front, and the entire rest of the front of the car is plastic with no attachment points. This was $30 and came overnight, whereas ordering from Toyota is more than double that cost and could take weeks.

This fits my new vehicle, 2019 Highlander LE Plus. After trying it on both sides on the front, I was extremely pleased. I also found it fits perfectly in the storage area made for it where the lug wrench is stored. So it has a pre fit storage area already designed for it. I guess Toyota is trying to save a few bucks as Toyota parts does not carry this item. I put a little grease on the male threaded part to lubricate the threads in the frame then wiped it off before I stored it.

works as it should. the tool kit in my 2016 Highlander actually has a defined place to store it. 2 problems: it should have been included in the $36,000 paid for the ride and the price is absurd. After I received this i wished i had researched it more and fabricated one myself

Amazon says it wouldn’t fit, comments said it would. It does indeed fit a 2017 Toyota Highlander

Tow hook does not work on a 2017 Toyota Prius, even though "genuine" Toyota part. Unfortunately free return date passed.

Bought used Toyota that came w/o tie down hook. Haven't tried to install it yet, but I believe it will fit. It seem to be genuine Toyota part. Recently saved me when I got stuck in deep snow with Kia Sedona minivan. A guy with pick up truck who stopped to help, was quite impressed how quickly and simply the tie down was to install, and serve the purpose. Hopefully I am not going to stuck again with AWD Highlander, but you never know. The tie down hook is also good for securing a canoe when transported on the roof racks.

The most important thing to me is that this fits my 2017 Toyota Highlander. Now I have something to attach a tow-rope to when I get stuck in a snowdrift!

It looks sturdy, though I hope I never have a chance to use it.

Fits 2017 Highlander. Cheaper than the dealership.

I have two of these and they fit into the threaded socket (hidden behind a plastic cover in the front bumper) of both my 2015 and 2019 Highlanders. These work great as a tie-down point for a canoe or kayak. Minus one star though for being unnecessarily expensive.
