It is the same size as the tables & chairs in preschool & pre-k so I would say up till age 6!

How many inches high is one of the chairs from the floor to the seat? Need something low for my 1 1/2 year old to sit on

I am not certain of the exact measurements, but my 1 1/2 year old is a little shorty and it fits him fine. He is able to sit and feed himself. Set might be ready to switch out when he is 3-4.

Would this be good for 18 month old twins for eating and activities? I'm trying to figure out the size (not good with estimating anything round)

I think so, my daughter is one year old and she sits pretty good but if you want something to use for a longer time, buy a different one.

Yes, I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old ...he is big for his age 39" and 40 lbs...fits him now, but...much more growth don't think he will fit under tables...table ok for a 2 or 3 year old...would think a 5 year old would appreciate more space. I Would invest in a larger set
