Highly recommend these VS the harsh Vetoryl for Cushing’s the vet put my girl on. I said absolutely not-as she could’ve gone into Addison’s crisis-NO. We went all holistic and will never look back! They work super well, my girl has done wonderful on them. Always go with the natural route if you can! So much better for the body! Also the stopped using Vetoryl for humans years ago as it was killing people so now they give them to our dogs?? I think NOT!

I cannot say that this truly didn't work for our furbaby, but she definitely does not like the flavor. I have not noticed an improvement in Skyes symptoms. I switched to this product after using Milk Thistle with the addition of 5mg Melatonon to treat her Canine Cushings. I actually saw a difference while using Thistle. I've since gone back to using it. It definitely helped in alleviating her symptoms. I hope this review was helpful.

This has done wonders for my Baby Girl.She feels much better. Lot's less panting for sure. I put the pill in a tiny bit of salt free peanut butter and she never knows she's had the pill.

This along with Melatonin and a low fat diet has really helped as far as Cushing disease. His blood work doesn’t show the disease but his symptoms do. He is a 7 yr old Yorkie

I read this would be a natural way for my dog with cushings disease but after several months of taking it she started having diarrhea with blood in it so we stopped not knowing for sure if this was the cause due to her being 11 yrs old. Waited till the diarrhea stopped and decided to test it, gave her the recommended dose for her weight and she had diarrhea again. Immediately stopped giving it to her. It might not be this because she took it for a couple months before and was fine but over time not so much. I just thought I’d tell my experience with it.

Just received these; they are very small so not much to chew! I also ordered the 3 mg melatonin chew in the beef flavor which my dog prefers over the peanut butter flavor, but that’s just his taste. If you are considering this product, please take a look at the Lignans for Life website and the extensive amount of information regarding canine Cushing’s. My 11.5 year old Scottie was finally positive for Cushing’s (pituitary tumor) after watching his liver enzymes climb for a couple of years. Except for some hair loss on his tail and a pot belly he is fairly asymptomatic right now. I’m hoping the HMR lignans and melatonin will reduce the cortisol levels enough to keep him off Vetoryl. We have had two other Scottie’s with Cushing’s, one on Vetoryl for several years, one on lignans and melatonin; both developed lymphoma but lived to over 13 years old. High levels of cortisol suppress the immune system leading to infections and worse of all, cancer. For those who may be interested, my dog is now on a commercial raw food diet with a number of supplements including Mercola Pet Mushroom Complex to boost his immune system.

Really love this product for my Dog who has Cushing's disease, however, I have made two recent orders and both times I received Melatonin instead of K9 Select HMR Lignans 20 mg Peanut Butter Chewable. I thought the first time was just a mistake and I actually needed Melatonin as well so I just reordered. Received the same Melatonin on the second order as well.
