Giro Syntax MIPS Adult Road Cycling Helmet

Apparently, there is a difference between an Adult Medium and a Women's Medium - online shopping learning curve? My first GIRO was a SAGA in a women's medium. While it fit, it always felt like it was sitting on top of my head (lol, where it's supposed to go!) what I mean is that it felt like it wasn't deep enough — like I was a character in Super Mario Brothers and had a mushroom cap on my head. The Syntax is deeper, it sits lower on my head, and is a much more comfortable fit. Plus the vent holes are such that I can place my sunglass on my helmet and not worry about them falling off. I'm pretty sure all the helmets are going to save my life, so comfort and vanity are the next most important things!

I dont like how it looks but it fits well. Not sure what headshape I have but I tried the Giro Synthe helmet in M and L size and the POC Omne Air SPIN helmet in M and L size. ALL of them were too small. When putting them on I could feel slight pressure near my temples. Once on, it wasnt too uncomfortable but I had a feeling after a while it would be more noticeable. This Giro Syntax is size L fit my head like a glove. It fit around my head instead of just on top and it felt very secure. It could definitely be lighter... the Synthe was noticeably lighter.Again, I dont like how it looks, it gives your head that mushroom look. I only plan to use this for specific events as when I ride alone I'd prefer not to wear one. It fits and I dont feel like trying more helmets.

I have a long, oval head, so I got the XL size. Fit perfectly, but the plastic MIPS strap along the sides rested where my ears meet my head. Otherwise would have been perfect. p.s. - my wife has a medium Giro Aether model and the MIPS straps are inside the sides and far above her ears.

Overall Product quality is quite good. Suggested. My head is round and size is around 56 cm. Product fits even wearing a bike cap. Better quality harness can contribute product comfort.

Helmet is light weight, cool, and comfortable. There isa lots of adjustment to make it fit well.

Purchased the Agilis in 2020. It got me through an accident this year, but it does have to be replaced since it struck the ground.Decided to go with the Syntax this time. I do like the look a bit better. Both are great options.

Recently got back into riding after a long absence so I don’t have much experience with helmets. I will say that this one is very comfortable. Fortunately, I haven’t experienced a crash while wearing it.

My head measures just under 58cm and I ordered size medium, which was the perfect size for me.I am really surprised by some of the reviews suggesting that the chin strap is really difficult to adjust.The helmet does come with instructions on how to ensure a comfortable fit. Following these instructions I had no trouble adjusting the straps to fit comfortably around my ears and under my chin. The micro adjust button only needs small turns to properly adjust the fit around your head/forehead.I find this helmet to be very comfortable to wear. It is light and very well ventilated.I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again.

Fantastic Helmet. Super comfortable, keeps you head cool and is extremely light - Anyone calling this "heavy" is reviewing the wrong helmet. It literally weighs half a pound and basically disappears when you put it on your head. I've gone for 30km rides with it and have basically forgotten it was on my head.Overall a great helmet for a decent price

The fit is excellent and locks down with the adjustable dial at the back. No pressure points at all. It's light and affordable and looks great. The many vents also make it cooler with lots of airflow.

Great fit! I really like the adjustment nob one the back to tighten it around my noggin. Looks really good with a cycling cap. It feels light to me, not sure what all the fuss is about with other reviews, though I'm just your "Average Joe" cyclist.

Very good helmet. Double face tape doesn't stick well so I can't attach my mirror. Quick shipping. Good experience.
