where is this knife made?

These knives are made in China. Is still a great knife. I have the Cryo and the Cryo 2. Feels great in your hand. Feels like a knife should feel.

can this knife be easily closed with one hand?

After playing around with the knife more and more it does get easier to close with one hand . I do recamend this knife, it is amazing!

does it have any sort of locking mechanism for safety?

There is no additional safety mechanism beyond the frame lock itself. I have never had an issue with the blade unlocking even inadvertently however, even under high pressure. The locking arm extends further behind the blade than many of my other folders and is an extremely safe design.
