Truly Incredible Product
I have been using Shoe Goo for over 30 years to extend the lives of my work shoes. I used to load delivery trucks and walking back and forth on the loading docks would wear down the heels of my shoes while the uppers were still like new. Shoe Goo applied in layers helps build back the soles and wears incredibly well and adheres great as well. It only takes about a day to cure. I use alcohol to clean the surface and dry it before applying just to make sure it sticks. The negative reviews I see for this are mostly from user error and ignorance of what this does. This Shoe Goo is not really intended for gluing shoes back together. Gluing soles or edges of soles is much better done by super glue. This really excels as rubber mending or rebuilding product. I have used this to fix all kinds of rubber things. It lasts for years too. I put some of this on a hair dryer on/off slide switch which had no traction and was hard to operate as my finger would slide. This fixed the problem and is still working 8 years later and I use it every day! This is really an amazing product. You will not find anything else that does what this does and it isn’t expensive. I always keep a tube of this around and so should you. Highly recommend.

Perfect Shoe Glue!
My 'expensive' ($40) water shoes separated between the sole and the upper. I was bummed... Saw the Shoe Goo and thought it might help... Read the 'tiny instructions' with the help of my cell phone lol. Scuffed the mating surfaces, did a quick water rinse and let them dry for 24 hours... I used a half tube for the two shoes. I did 4 thick lines on the sole and 2 thick lines on the upper. Smashed them together, then did a careful side-move and laid a 1x4 on them and put a heavy flowerpot on top. This is amazing stuff! I bought this a few months ago and the water shoes are still glued and working well! The folks who make these shoes should be using this good stuff!

Worked very well for my application!!
Shoe GOO works as described. I have a pair of hiking boots from 1994 that had lived a great life. They weren’t made from the indestructible Norwegian Welt manufacturing process, but instead glued together. I was about to toss them out, because the sole was 75% separated from the the leather boot. I figured it would cost only a couple dollars to try Shoe Goo. That was 12 to 15 years ago and I am just now having to go back and attach small sections that are separated. I used them when painting, working in the yard, climbing on the roof and I’ve even hiked in them a couple of times.

Saved my favorite pair of chunky heeled booties
I am so thankful for this stuff! I have a pair of black booties with a thick, chunky heel that are my absolute favorite shoes ever. I even own them in brown because I love the style that much. After I got home one night, I noticed the heel was separating from the shoe. I was devastated and quickly went to the website where I originally purchased my shoes to see if the style was still being sold. It wasn't. I frantically searched online to see if there were any similar styles in my price range that could replace my favorite shoes. Nope. Wasn't finding anything. Yes, I know, this is a classic case of a first world problem, but I was not ready to let go of my favorite heels just yet. Then I thought, maybe there's some kind of glue that will fix it? I rolled my eyes at myself because I really didn't think there was any type of glue that would repair a shoe - at least not for very long. I searched anyway, and stumbled upon Shoe Goo. After reading the great reviews and noting the price, I purchased a tube, not expecting much. A few days later, my Shoe Goo arrived. I was excited but was trying not to get my hopes up in case my heel couldn't be repaired. I followed the instructions and glued the chunky heel back to the bootie, and put the end of a small hand weight into the inside heel of the shoe so that it would have some weight pressing down on it as the glue cured. I waited a week before wearing my shoes out, mostly because I didn't have anywhere to go that I felt like wearing heels. The first time I wore my shoes out since using the Shoe Goo to fix them, I was really scared my heel would come apart while I was downtown with my boyfriend walking all over. I nervously kept asking him to walk behind me and check to see if my heel was still intact. Every time, he said it looked fine. After I got home that night, I inspected it more, and it's still perfectly intact. The emergency flip flops I had put in my purse didn't see the light of day. So, does this stuff work? YES. Shoe Goo saved my probably cheaply made, but FAVORITE pair of shoes. And because a huge tube of Shoe Goo is only $7, it also saved me from having to spend $40+ on a new pair of shoes (and $40 is on the low end). Time will tell how well this holds up as I wear them again and again, but so far, so good!

It's a real good quick fix for the skating holes in your shoes
It's a real good quick fix for the skating holes in your shoes. I tried using the skateboard after mending the holes with shoe goo and it is working fine. Wasnt sure about the shoe goo color and I got black. Would be better if they mention which color shoe goo they are sending. I was under the impression that only the transparent shoe goo is available. The product helps mending your shoes. Use an ice cube to spread it uniformly around the area, that way it glue wont stick to your fingers, also, instead of using your finger as a support to keep the glue from seeping in inside your shoes, use a tape. You can remove it once it the glue dries. Ideally 12 hours of drying is required.
