Very Cool Book forAdults as Well as Children
I'm a big fan of Rachel Goldstein's drawing books. I have purchased most of them for my grandchildren, who love them. However, How to Draw Cool Things, Optical Illusions, 3D Letters, Cartoons and Stuff is a book I purchased for myself. It is my personal favorite, primarily because I am having a lot of fun drawing the variousoptical illusions and 3D drawings she has loaded her latest book with. I love to see the 3D drawings done bypeople that they exhibit on social media sites. Now I can do some of them myself! Ms. Goldstein clearly showsstep by step, illustrated instructions for each project making it easy for a novice like me to produce somerespectable drawings. This book would make a nice holiday gift for someone. I highly recommend it.

A nice book and gift.
I bought this to gift one of my cousin who is learning to draw in various way. This book has some very good basic tactics which can help to develop interest in drawing. It has shown step by step process of each drawing shown in main page and that can help to think through various methods of 3d drawings, which may initially look difficult but can be doable. Would recommend anyone higher than 12-14 age probably; any adult who loves to draw may find useful.

Great how-to for kids!
My son is 8 and loves to draw, this book is a huge hit. He has been so excited to try all of the different designs and effects, and I love that the instructions are so clear and easy to follow. A great find!

Really neat!!!
I picked this up for my older kids (8 -11) and I think it's fantastic. I considered myself a professional artist back before kids, and I am happy to report this book even gave me a couple of new techniques. We have a few dozen 'learn to draw' books, and it is one of the better ones in my opinion.

Okay
Not as many things as expected. My 11 yr old who loves to draw wasn’t impressed. Too bad, by the way it was advertised I thought it would be right up his alley. Still some neat things, just not as much variety as I thought it would be.
