Great placemats that can be used just about anywhere since then are totally clear and do not scratch easily! They can be used on counters and tables.

I use these to line my refrigerator shelves for a quick and easy cleanup from spills. Clear plastic always looks clean and is easy to keep up!

As advertised, clear n sturdy plastic covers! Used them to cover cloth place mats, perfect fit, both the same size. Used both on coffee n end tables.

These appear as advertised. As another buyer noted, the vinyl is sensitive to heat, for example, a ceramic bowl of recently ladled stew, causing the placemat to deform mildly but permanently to the shape of the base of the bowl. Otherwise, they performed as designed and easily wipe clean.

This transparent foil exceeded my expectations. It has an adequate thickness, is flexible but resistant, and the rounded corners give it a safer and more professional finish. I liked that the material is resistant, flexible and does not slide easily on the surface. It also protects very well against spills, stains and scratches, helping to keep the table in perfect condition. A very practical purchase for daily use.

Edited: while I was washing dishes, I went to wash one of these. The hot water warped it immediately. I don't recommend these as dinner placemats. I'm going with silicone instead, even though they are translucent, not clear like these. I will still use these for my kids to draw and write on. I like to use fabric table cloths, so I bought these to protect my tablecloths from my kids' (and mine too, let's face it) messy eating. Pros: They are crystal clear, so don't stand out and you can see the table cloth perfectly through it. The ones I received are exactly 12 x 18 inches, so the description is correct. They are thick and sturdy. Cons: They look like they might scratch easily, and I'm not sure how heat resistant they are, since they are plastic, not silicone. Also, one of the photos make it look like they are pretty flexible, but they are not. They are difficult to bend, and you definitely could not roll them. Also, they are slick so they won't stay in place. I am going to keep them to try them out. If they don't work out for dinner placemats, then they will still be useful. I have been looking for something that my kids can use to make a harder surface for their papers when they draw or write at the dining table or desks. These will work great for that!

The item arrived quickly nicely shipped, and packed. They really did a wonderful job with the manufacturing of these clear vinyl placemats, they were each protected with a removable coating and nothing was scratched orbent. Everything was in great shape and condition!!

We use these over our tablecloth. They are perfectly clear. I am surprised that slipping has not been a problem. I like the look of a tablecloth, and now it stays clean for a lot longer!

Excellent placemats! Simple with no intricate designs but elegant!

Not entirely transparent, but won't distort under reasonnably hot plate. This is what I was looking for.

Nothing fancy but, yes, perfect. They look basic - and are basic, but you cannot beat their usefulness and ease of cleaning. They really will last forever, which may be saddening to some people.
