What is the exact outside dimension of the speaker frame? I'd like to mount it in an enclosure which allows room for a 3 1/4 inch wide speaker.

The front mounting flange of this speaker is basically square, with the four sides of the square being slightly rounded outward. There are four mounting holes, one in each corner of the mounting flange. The distance across the diagonals of the flange (crossing two opposite corner mounting holes) is 3.75 inches. The distance across the widest middle section of the flange ( intersecting the center of speaker cone) is 3.165 inches. Measurements were taken with a dial caliper and are accurate to 1/1000th (0.001) of an inch. So, the speaker will just squeeze into your 3.25" mounting space with only 0.085 (about 3/32") of an inch to spare - assuming you are measuring the 3.25" across the width of a square speaker mounting space and not diagonally across the square space. BTW The depth is 1.7".

Does it comes in pairs or this is just a single speaker ?

It's a single speaker. If you'd like a pair, you'll have to order two. Worth the extra effort. Mine sounds great.
